Check out this link below to download a PDF manual, software, and more for your phone. Just copy and paste into your browser.
Check out the section on Messaging page 65 in your manual:
Important!: When creating a message, adding an image, a sound file, or a video clip to a text message changes the message from a text
message to a multimedia message.
Important!: Adding an image, a sound file, or a video clip to a text message changes the message from a text message to a multimedia
message. This also changes the Options that appear in this menu.
Note: A multimedia message should only be sent to a phone which can
support the receipt and display of this message type.
Note: If you exit from this View screen, you will need to go to the Messaging ➔ Inbox screen, the Recent Calls screen, or you will need to dial your Voicemail contact to access your messages.
Note: Messages can also be accessed by navigating to your Inbox (Menu ➔ Messaging ➔ Inbox).
Messaging Settings page 72 in your manual:
You can set up various options for using messaging services.
1. When the Idle screen displays, press the Menu soft key,
then select Messaging ➔ Messaging Settings.
2. Select the type of message settings that you want to
• Text Message
• Multimedia Message
• Voice Mail
• Push Message
• Broadcast Message (SIM card dependent)
3. Press the Select soft key or the key.
Hope this helps, let me know if I can help you with anything else. It would be very kind of you if this does work for you to please rate me or leave a short note. I would really appreciate it. Thank you for your time.

Try these they worked for me & I have the same phone:
Menu --> Messages --> Settings --> Multimedia Messages --> MMS Profiles --> Options --> Create --> Profile Name: AT&T MMS, Home URL: http://mmsc.cingular.com, check the box next to "proxy", IP Address: 126.96.36.199, Port: 80, Linger Time (sec): 90, leave DNS box unchecked, Bearer: GPRS then go to Advanced Settings --> APN: wap.cingular, Login ID: email@example.com, password: CINGULAR1 (case sensitive). Hit "save" twice, then "options" then "activate." This will activate your MMS so you can send and receive picture messages.
Menu --> Internet --> Settings --> Browser Profiles --> Options --> Create --> Profile Name: WAP Profile, Home URL: http://device.home, Proxy: check box, IP Address: 188.8.131.52, Port: 8080, Linger time (sec): 90, leave DNS box unchecked, GPRS --> Advanced Settings --> APN: wap.cingular, Login ID: WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COM (case sensitive), Password: CINGULAR1 (also case sensitive). Hit "save" twice then "options" then "activate." This will allow you internet access.
