Question about Samsung WF337AA Front Load Washer

Open Question

Actually it is wf7708n6w1. Door won't unlock after 3 minutes even after draining cleaning filter. This model has no orange plastic tab to pull forward as have similar models. Troubleshooting section only prescribes to disconnect from power and remove water and clean filter. Done all of it many times with non success. Thank you

SOURCE: Sampsung wf7708n6w1 door won't open!

Your door switch/lock is broken, you need to unplug the machine and remove the top, you can then reach down (tight space) and using a small screwdriver you can pry around the switch and get the door to open, you need to get a replacement door switch for the machine.

Leaning the machine back can make it easier to access the switch.

The code your machine indicates means that the debris filter needs cleaning. To do this remove the plug from the electrical supply. Using a coin open the filter cover door at the far bottom right hand side of the machine. You should see an orange coloured plastic tab, pull this forward to open the door.
Warning: If the drum still has water above the door seal it will pour out when you open the door. If this is the case there is an emergency drain tube to the right of the orange tab, pull on the tube and place it in a shallow container. Then remove the rubber plug and drain the water from the machine.
When the machine has been fully drained open the debris filter cover (large circular plastic plug to the left of the orange tab) and remove any soiling/rubbish that may have accumulated there. When complete push the drain tube (with rubber plug back in position) back into the machine, replace the debris filter cover, and then pop the filter cover door back in place. Hope this helps.
P.S Removing the plug from the power supply also resets any error codes so that should remove the error you had as well as being a safety precaution.

Those parts are not from the washer. The trap is before the pump so that is a good thing. Most likely the switch to the door is not working or the control board is bad

Hotpoint aqarius wash/machine. wont drain door locked how do i unlock/

It looks like you have 2 issues here, so here are 2 solutions for you:

As far as the door not opening goes:

This is a common problem, often associated with a momentary power failure when the controller doesn't get time to reset and return to an idle state before the machine gets power back and it gets "confused". Regardless of the cause, you will almost certainly find that unplugging from the mains (Not just powering off on the button, as some door locks have a sneak circuit, even when the power is turned off at the button) and leaving the machine undisturbed for a full 20 minutes will allow a reset, the door lock will disengage and all will be well when you power back up.

Additionally, on older machines with analog program selectors, turn the selector to an end of program setting before you power it off.

Just a thought here: If there is water in the machine above the level of the door, you are going to get wet when you open it! The simple solution to this is to pull the machine out and tip it back about 45 degrees, so the water sits to the rear of the drum. NOW, you can open the door and bail out the water without getting a wet floor

Regarding the failure to empty out water:

This is almost certainly a simple problem with your empty pump filter being clogged. The empty cycle is timed and if it can't get all the water out in time because the filter is blocked and slowing the empty down, then it will fail safe and won't step on to the final spin cycle with excess water in the drum. While it's trying to get the water evacuated, you will probably see the machine doing a slow tumble for up to 8 minutes and you may also hear the empty pump running too.

You need to locate and clean the filter. Depending on the model (not familiar which with the model you mention) there is probably a round filter cap on the front of the machine at the bottom (It may be behind a small door or hidden behind a clip on panel on the bottom) Many models of this design also have a small hose to the right of the filter cap that you can pull out, remove a plug from and drain off any water in the filter before you remove the filter and get your floor wet, so take a look for this before you remove the filter and get soaked.

OR

On Some Hotpoint machines in particular, you will need to access the debris trap from the back of the machine. If there is no filter at the front, pull the machine out and you will see a roughly oval panel at the bottom of the rear of the machine. Unscrew the 3 or 4 screws and unclip. Directly below the drum, you will now see a rubber "Cup" like bulge in the black pipe, with a plastic tube connected to a plastic pipe. The cup is held in place by a large jubilee clip. Unscrew the clip, pull off the rubber boot to expose the debris trap (A conical plastic cage with a ping pong ball in it) Take out the ball and the plastic trap, clean out the debris and replace the trap and the ball (Note that the cage may have a slot in it that locates in the rubber boot, make sure it lines up, or it won't reassemble correctly). Now push the boot back onto the fitting at the bottom of the drum where it came from and tighten up the jubilee clip, making sure that it is fitted correctly (it too may have a small slot out of it that fits around a protrusion on the bottom of the housing).

Give the boot a tug and reassure yourself that it is secure. Replace the panel on the back of the machine and test. All should now be well.

How do you remove the filter on the back of a VRT Steam Samsung washer?

Actually there should be a little door you can access at the bottom front to clean out your pump filter, I'm including my washers pictures. 1) You first open the little door at the bottom. You do not need any tools, just something to drain the water in to. 2) Unscrew the hose closure, put your hose down into the drain bucket. Drain all the water out, you may have to empty the bucket so you can get the hose lower next time. 3) Next unscrew the filter itself. Get anything out inside the hole, in my case it was a toothpick, I take a paper towel and dry out any grit or hair. 4) Put your hose closure back on, it is held in a clip, Then screw the filter back in. That's it. I would also recommend cleaning out the drawers that hold soap, bleach and fabric softener. Also clean around the rubber ring, it will help your washer last longer. lanijo58_3.jpglanijo58_2.jpglanijo58_1.jpglanijo58_0.jpg Hope this helps you

takes about 10 minutes tops and no tools are needed. Slide 2 plastic hinge pins out from bottom of glove box door, pivot the door aside, pop the 3 plastic hook tabs off the bottom of the (white plastic) filter cover, pull the old filter out, and (carefully) slide the new filter in. Replace the filter cover and glove box door hinge pins and you are done.

Arrows should face down.

How do you remove the filter to clean it?

Miele machines have a flap to open on the bottom left of the machine. To open this there is a special orange plastic spatular located in the backplate of the soap drawer! Dont use a knife or other sharp instrument or you may scatch the paint damage the flap.

The flap should reveal a screw knob which is the drain filter and also an orange tab. This tab is the emergency door opening device. Very useful if your machine loses electric or other faulty conditions.

loosen the filter and let the water drain (a large bowl might come in handy) after the water quits coming out remove the filter completely, check it for and remove any obstructions. put the filter back on, tighten it so it doesn't leak.

F21 Error code flashing

Plug off the wall first. The filter on your pump is probably clogged with lint and stuff. You have to remove the bottom front panel, 3 torx screws underneath. The panel will drop and come off. Drain off the excess water from the drain pipe you see. The white filter cover is right in front. Get yourself a good plastic

On some models the filter is located ‘inside’ the big hose from the bottom of the tub. This takes more time to clean.

To manually unlock the door lock system, perform the following steps.
1. Unplug the power cord from the outlet.
2. Remove the lower kick panel.
3. Reach up along the inside of the front panel and locate the bottom of the door latch assembly.
4. Located on the bottom of the door latch assembly is a teardrop shaped tab. Gently pull the tab down approximately quarter inch, or until a click is heard.
5. The door may now be manually opened.

My washer locks up and the door is LOCKED

FO2 is the code for long drain. The filter on your pump is probably clogged with lint and stuff. You have to remove the bottom front panel, 3 torx screws underneath. The panel will drop and come off. Drain off the excess water from the drain pipe you see. The white filter cover is right in front. Get yourself a plastic bag to collect water. Unscrew the filter cover and twist the filter out. Clean out all the stuff and put it back in carefully. Check your pump too, comes after the filter.

To manually unlock the door lock system:
1. Unplug the power cord from the outlet.
2. Remove the front lower kick panel.
3. Reach up along the inside of the front panel and locate the bottom of the door latch assembly.

5. Gently pull the tab down about quarter inch or until a click is heard.
6. The door may now be opened.
