Question about Bosch Exxcel WFO 2864 Front Load Washer
I'm a new landlord and have just rec'd an e-mail explaining that my old Bosch w/m, that i fitted into the property, has begun to leak suds (not water). I'm going to visit later to try to solve prob and was wondering how i go about diagnosing/curing the prob? Will i need to take any tools? Any cleaners/ powders etc?
I'm not the handiest but I can (hopefully) follow some simple instructions!
Unfortunately, when the machine is used by tennants, it is not respected.
Firstly, checked the drawer is clear.
on the bottom right of the front plinth there is flap that will expose the pump filter (you may need pliers if it's tight) remove cap, preferably with a largish towel underneath the front of w/m. when cap removed get down and have a good look in the pump and check nothing is trapped in the impellor.
If the hose is connected to spigot under the sink, remove and check this isn't blocked. remove the spigot both from the sink and the grey hose of the w/m to ensure a thorough check for blockages.
I run a 90 degree cycle every 4 weeks with the machine empty except for two capfuls of baby sterilisng fluid (approx half a mug) I buy stores own as it is cheaper than miltons. I run the maintenance wash religiously ever 4 weeks and run a machine descaler such as oust thru every 4-6 months (ps don't be tempted to use bleach as it foams up and can cause more problems!!)
The other options are that the user is overdosing the detergent or using an inappropriate detergent (washing up liquid, twintub powder or bleach) although I'll lay bets that they're not going to admit that to you. Good Luck, hope this helps.

I saw your washing machine problem just now. Not sure if you were able to fix it.
Most likely cause of suds in front loading washer is the tenant has used the normal laundry detergent and not the one for front loaders.
