If by clean, you mean "erase", the easiest way is to go into the menu and find "format"..follow the on-screen instructions.

What do i do when I turn on my sony alpha 100 and it tells me unable to use but I formatted it and it still says unable to use???

It's most likely a problem with the memory card. This message comes up when the card sustains damage to any degree. Did you lend your camera or card to anyone or put the card into the wrong reading drive by accident? It may be time for a new memory card/stick. Exchange it if it's still under warranty.

Sony Alpha 100 won't acknowledge memory card

I would suggest that you give the camera to Sony service to have a look at it. The regular shop would not have the proper test facilities to properly diagnose any in depth problems with this type of camera unless they were an authorized contracted service rep. The problem may be involved.
