is there a factory fault with this unit?
Just looking at that model on the Electrolux site and the wash pump would cost $167.73,and the manifold pipe would be about $25.I dont know what they mean by feeder pipe.but you have the hose to the machine cost $34.60 or the hose down by the pump which would cost $20.50.I would be inclined to get a second opinion or source the parts yourself. The fault on these machines normally was that the rigid plastic water feed manifold pipe would tend to split on the thread just inside the corner of the unit and water would run down onto the heater and the pump.Normally after replacing the pipe and drying out the electrics the machine would be ok again.
Hope this helps.

Testimonial: "Great, i think it may be time to replace the whole unit. Thank you for your help."
I have same problem and was told by a helpful repairman that there is a design fault in this machine. When you push the top tray back into the machine, it bangs against the inlet pipe which eventually breaks, floods the bottom of the machine and shorts out the heater. He has quit the Electrolux contract because he is so fed up with owners getting angry about continual problems. I am trying to get a free new machine on the grounds that the design fault renders it unfit for purpose under the Sale of Goods Acts.

Tips for a great answer:
Hello friend, thanks for your post!
I understand that your want to replace the pump inside of your Electrolux dishwasher. From my understanding an "E3" error code is an issue with your wash motor. It could be a problem with the wash motor, wash motor hall sensor, or control panel. In any case these intricate parts do require precision and patience, therefore when replacing the exchange of electrical components or removing them from your appliance, I always suggest seeking professional assistance. One must be very careful as these replacements can lead to potential harm. -Chris

Our Electrolux DX303 had an i50 error. It was due to a water leak causing earth leakage current. So it's good it stops working if it detects a leak.
Our leak was from where the water goes to the upper arm (the pipe is made of plastic and has a plastic thread which isn't strong ie cheap). The pipe is located on the back right hand side once you take off the panels.
