Email messages need to have the email set up correctly through your phone, however there is no set up required for text messages, they just go. Get someone to help you who understand how to set up an email account on a phone. It is not difficult to do, but you do need to get it correct or messages wont send as you have found out..
If you have Google Voice Mail...
go to voice.google.com, log in, click the gear (top right),
Click voice settings.
Under Phones, uncheck "Notify me of new voicemails via text". Save
Under Voice, uncheck "Email the message to". Save
You should be able to send a text message with the picture attached to an email address.
to send a multimedia message/text message w. picture attached: -find the actual picture you want to send on your phone and select it -then hit your "menu" or "options" button, which should give you an option to send/share the picture -select text message or multimedia message (MMS) -in the "to" line for the text message, enter the email address you'd like to send it to -hit "send"
Yes, but it is set up to text the picture by default so you'll need to switch to letters 'Abc' in options. Next, type in your email address instead of a phone number then press send. This will send the picture to your email just like you would normally send a text. ***This is all written under the assumption that you have PICTURE MESSAGING included in your rate plan. I hope this helps you.
Open your favorite email service. Please note that your email provider must allow for the automatic forwarding of emails. Gmail is one good service that supports auto-forwarding.
Tell your email client to forward all emails to your phone's email address: email@example.com
(for example, if your number was (111) 222-3344, your phone's email
address would be firstname.lastname@example.org.) This will forward all emails
to your cell phone, but will treat them like picture messages. Handling
the email as a picture message will ensure that every character in the
message is included. There is a way to send the email as a text (SMS)
message1, but there is a character limit of 160, so many messages will come in sets of 4, 5, even up to 20 text messages.
If you wish, you can set your phone to auto-download picture
messages, so every time you receive a message, it is already downloaded
and ready to read (this is our recommendation). Consult your owner's
manual for more information.
To send a message to an email address you need to set an email gateway number: Messaging > settings > text messages( check whether there is video options if not just use text messages and confirm with your provider if this service is supported. The provider might be using same gateway or different for video and text messages) > Email gateway
NB The (email gateway)Number is supplied by your service provider
