Question about Mitsubishi WD-52525 52" Rear Projection HDTV
About 1 month ago, my wife told me our upstairs TV (Mitsubishi WD-52725) had the picture dimming and horizontal lines running across the screen. I was out of the country at the time and didn't check into it right away when I returned home. Now the horizontal lines are much more pronounced. So much so, the picture is almost worthless but I can't comment on if the picture is really dimmer or not.
What do you think the problem is? How much does this kind of repair cost?
The dimming is usually caused by the mirror needing polishing. The lines floating across the screen is usually caused by failed caps on the FMT board you can get the V26 FMT repair kit from
