You need to check first if the wireless switch is turn on.If it is on, check the function key for the wireless. Some computers have function key. Sometimes it is combination of fn and f5. Press those keys at the same time and you should see a pop up window and check if the current status is on. If it is on, uninstall/reinstall the wireless driver in device manager. and restart your computer. If this didn't work. You need to do re installation of your operating system.

I have a hp mini 210 and the laptop wireless button at the top f12 its normally blue when its on but its orange now wich means its off i keep pressing it but it wont come on please help!

Hello, what you need to do is switch the switch to the side. If that does not work, click start and type network connections. Click on network connections. Check to see if the wireless network is disabled. If it is, right click on it and click enable. If you have Windows XP, click start, my computer, and then on the left side my network places, and then on the left view network connections and follow the same steps I listed.

Thanks for using FixYa!

Hi, You can add the networks through your system prefrences and set the wireless network to automatically connect to your mac book however the recomendation would be to always keep your settings to ask you before connectting to a wireless network, this will keep your notebook secure.

Did you disable the wireless card through the BIOS? Sometimes the wireless card can be accidentally turned off through one of the HP Wireless Assistant which will keep it from turning Blue when you press it

Hp wireless assistant 3.00 C2

Hi,

You may install a different version but it is not guarantee that it would work. I suggest to connect your system to an ethernet cord (wired connection) then click on the link below..

http://tinyurl.com/6jlcth

You should see there Start Detection - it will automatically detect the system driver you have. You should select the operating system then you may reinstall the network driver then.

Keep me posted.

Thanks
