How to replace heating element on microwave convection oven jvm1790 sk01.

At my Web site here, I have a video showing you how to remove a typical over the range microwave's grille and control panel assembly in about 5 minutes.

Then you can find and refer to the technical sheet for this model found hidden behind the controller or grille or get it online here.

Next, you'll need to take the oven down from its mount. The installation instructions are a must, and if for some reason you don't still have them, you can download them here.

You can buy GE parts and find helpful exploded views and parts lists by entering your full model number here.

On exploded view diagram 5, "Interior Parts (1) Parts" shows the convection parts, including the heating element, here called a "heater sheath" at ref. # 3019. It is part number WB44X10046 and again, you can get it from the Pros here.

If you have other questions, please e-mail me here with your full model number as shown on the tag in or on the oven, and your detailed symptoms.

If yes then here is your solution.

I purchased a house w/ a Jenn-air elect. drop-in range. The Model # is 87946 or 87847. I believe the range was originally purchased in 1975. I am in need of an instruction manual .

Neither of these are a typical Jenn-Air model number. http://shared.whirlpoolcorp.com/product_literature/search.jsp?siteCd=JA_EN_US suggests that the model number is on the back wall under the burner on the right side of a drop-in cooktop. For a range the model number is often on the frame inside the oven door, below the vent or on the back of the top of the range.

87946 or 87847 are the part numbers for the cartridges (the elements or the surrounding housing).

Look at the model number locations at the "Help me find my model number" link and try to locate a model number on your range. Then enter that model into the search box. The manual is probably available with the correct part number. Most Jenn-air electric cooktops start with JEC in their model number.

I hope this helps you locate the manual.

(I did try JEC87847 just in case you left off the leading alphabetical characters.)

Sharp Carousel Microwave Convection R-820JS. Oven gets hot but turntable does not rotate causing uneven baking.

If the oven is STILL heating, but the carousel isn't turning, this problem is commonly attributed to a turntable motor that has worn out and may need to be replaced. The motor is attached to the center plastic piece (called a turntable shaft, turntable ring or coupler) under the middle of the glass tray. The following link explains how to access and replace the motor:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3555716-replacing_a_turntable_motor_on_a_microwa

This is a very simple repair, that usually is not expensive. The price will be determined by the model and manufacturer. This repair can also be performed on an over the range model microwave oven WITHOUT uninstalling it.

You can refer to any of the following websites for comparison:

searspartsdirect.com
pcappliancerepair.com
appliancepartspros.com
repairclinic.com

The first three sites listed have helpful exploded view diagrams to assist you with locating and properly identifying the part(s) you may need.

The average price for a motor is about $35 to $45. If your model number is not listed at all the sites, use the part numbers from the Sears site and use them for your search criteria. The model numbers don't always cross reference, but the part numbers do. The part number for a replacement turn table motor for the model you have listed is RMOTDA254WRZZ (listed as item 1-3 under the "Oven and Cabinet" parts section. If your model number does not cross reference to all websites, use the part number from the Sears website as your search criteria.

NOTE: Even though the carousel may not be turning, you can still use the microwave while awaiting parts. You will need to physically rotate whatever you are heating about midway through the cook time to ensure even heating. Early model microwave ovens were not equipped with a rotating carousel and this was the common procedure.

I need a replacement element (8 inch) for my Kelvinator range (model no. KRS J3L-1)

Hi, W/D here.
Here's the easiest way that I know of to repair your stove:
Remove your element. Most can be removed by lifting the element on the side away from where the leads disappear under the stove top, and then pulling it out of the plug-in socket.
Take the element with you to one of the larger hardware stores, and locate the elements that have your style of terminals. The elements are generic; that's why you needed your old one. I have replaced dozens of elements and have found the generics to be every bit as good as one ordered, and cheaper, too!
Best regards, --W/D--

Door drops down 1/8' when open. To close need to

If the model number you have this listed under is correct, there is no adjustment. More than likely the door pivot and/or hinges are worn. They can easily be replaced, however. The part numbers are as follows:

Door Pivot - 8184922
Upper Door Hinge - W10114255
Lower Door Hinge - W10114254

You can find these parts at appliancepartspros.com. Just type in the model number and locate items 6, 8, and 13 under the "Door Parts" heading.

If you have questions about this repair, or have a different model number, please post back and let me know so that I may be able to provide better assistance. I hope this helps you.
