MS Word cannot open scanned documents to edit. You need to run a scanned document through an OCR program (optical character recognition program) which converts the scanned document into a text document. Then you open Ms Word and import or open this text document to edit or change the text.
Format Word document in following manners:
1. Titles as HEADING1
2. Contents as HEADING2
3. In Office Word 2003
File Menu-->Send to --> Microsoft Office Powerpoint
Now you can see your exported presentation in newly open MS Power Point Window.
Tip: In MS Word 2007/2010 you can add Send to Microsoft Power Point Button to quick access bar as:
Office Button --> Word Options --> Customize --> Enable All tools --> Select Send to MS Office Power Point --> Add --> OK
Now you can follow the same steps in MS Word 2007 too.
you can use a third party software ie.pagescope pro 2.0 or use MS word use the "insert picture" select "your scanner" it will open the scan menu and follow the prompts
If you have your manual, just go to the scanning page and follow the steps listed there. You should be able to add the program that you want to save your scan to e.g. save document as an MS Word file. Add MS Word to the list of programs and you will be able to select it there after.
Well in word you go to Top Menu, go to, INSERT, go down to INSERT PICTURE, it ask FROM... choose from Scanner, and then the native scanning window will come up, where you can do your scans. When you finish, it automatically saves it to that document, which you can then name & save. MSPaint has similar features. You see when you installed your driver it also installed, or should have, a TWAIN driver, this allows transfer across MS programs

When you scan a document it must be scanned with OCR software. The default scanning method will scan a document as a picture, not a document with letters and words. The OCR software will recognize the letters and put the scanned document in the proper format to open it with MS Word. The software that you scan with should have a setting for OCR, read your instructions or help files to get the details if you can not find them very easy in the software you use for scanning. .
The problem with using Outlook may be that you have not set it up properly to get your emails from your email server. You do not need to use Outlook or Outlook express to send any documents, you can use your web based email server if you like, but you can use Outlook Express as well. You just need to add the document to send as an attachment to the email.
To set up Outlook Express to get your email, you must first find out what the POP3 and SMTP setting you must use. You can get that information from your email provider, it is different for every email provider. Then you go to the "File" menu at the top left of Outlook Express and select "Identities" and select "Add New Identity" and from there you will go thru a wizard to guide you thru the process of setting up your email client. Just make sure you have the POP3 and SMTP settings available for you to put into Outlook Express when prompted to in the wizard.
The From Scanner or Camera option for scanning documents and pictures is not available in Microsoft Office Word 2007. Instead, you can use your scanner to scan the document, and then you can save the file to your computer.
After you scan the document, you can use Microsoft Office Document Imaging to create a version of the document that you can edit. Important The first step is to install Microsoft Office Document Imaging, which is not installed by default.
