Question about Minka -Aire Brushed Nickel Remote Control Fan MIA F518-BN

Minka Ceiling Fan Doesn't Work

Bought two of the same fans, and are installed within 40 feet of each other. First one I installed worked fine, can't get second one to turn on. Manual said something about turning power on and off and then holding the stop/start button to set remote to a different frequency if 2 fans are installed within 40 feet of each other. Tried this multiple times, but I still can't get it to work. Positive it's hooked up correctly as I've taken it down and installed a light to double check the connections. Any advice? One oddity is that the power switch was a dimmer, but I didn't want to use it to so I wired the power to bypass the switch.

SOURCE: I currently have 2 switches on the wall for a ceiling fan(this was pre-installed when I bought my new home, but my Minka

The red and white should be hot all the time for the fan to run even when the light is not in use. The black and white wires are used for the switch on the wall to turn the light on. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: Minka F719 Lavery Wired fan and fan works but light does not come

The light leg should be hooked to a power source. If you have a separate wire from a wall switch, that's where it should be hooked. Otherwise, you can hook it to the fan leg and operate the light from the switch on the fan.

Minka Aire model f603 reverse switch?

Not sure what model of fan or manufacture you have. Says Hunter 52" & Minka aire F603. If it's the Minka , Then push the button on the lower part of the remote (6 o'clock). If that doesn't work then you might need a new receiver.

How to change the direction on the Napoli fan ? Right now it is turning clockwise

Some Minka fans have a reverse button (REV) on the remote control. If yours doesn't, there is a slide switch on the exterior of the fan's motor.

Minka has a website with downloadable user manuals at minka.com. Enter your model number in minka.com's search box and you may read the manual there.

Good luck from Detroit, MI.

3 concept II fans and 3 minka aire remotes wit 3 recievers in a 3 bedroom house all within 40 feet of eachother and remotes keep interfearing with eachother and there are no dip switches on reciever only...

According to the URL at: http://minkagroup.net/Admin/UploadFiles/F518-English.pdf there are dip switches on the fan. They are on the receiver that is most likely tucked away in the bell housing at the ceiling level. Pull the bell housing down and you will find a box of sorts that has the switches on it. This is the receiver.
If this solution is helpful to you, I would appreciate a Thumbs Up rating. Thank you, Paul

The receiver in the fan might be burnt out,it is at the ceiling in the large base or maybe the transmitter. Do you have fresh batteries in the transmitter?
