The idle screen is the main screen of your compurter (were all the icons are).
Once you pset up the program on the computer with the disc, you connect your phone and go into the program click on (content) then minimise everthing you have open straight away and wait and it should work...

The advice on turning off the phone worked for me. While it is connected by USB, turn off the phone (bottom right hand button on the viewty, wait until the LG PC Suite software doesn't have a connection, and then turn the phone back on (power button in the lower right hand corner). Then press the "synchronize now" button, and good luck. I am so relieved.

dont no if this helps but worth a try, on ur phone go 2 phone settings > connectivity > USB connection mode > chamge it to mass storage. then re-connect it 2 ur comp and will will show up as a mass storage device where u can do the drag and drop option. only problem is it transfers media from ur phone but dont no how i can get things off memory card without having 2 transfer them 2 phone memory first.
hey.. if u connect ur phone via usb, be sure that ur phone is in home screen, because if not, for example if you connect your phone and you're in your message menu then you will open some apps in your pc suite the message will appear saying 'Fail to connect to the mobile handset, Please check the COM port and
connect in idle screen. Due to the multifunction, despite idle screen,
it can be failed to connect' now try it by connecting the phone but in home screen mode.. gotcha buddy?? hope soo..
When you go through the connection wizard on the LG PC Suite take note of the port number that it is using.
Then go to device manager(for win xp go to start/control panel/system, click on the Hardware tab then device manger) on your pc. Expand Ports(COM & LPT) and right click on LGE Mobile USB Serial Port and select properties. Take note of what port is indicated in brackets. Go to the Port Settings tab and select advanced. Change the com port number to what LG PC suite was using. Select OK, OK and try connecting again with the Wizard and see if you can transfer data etc
Let me know if that helped.
Firstly You Need To Go In To Phone Settings Then Down To Connectivity Then You Go To USB Connection Mode Switch To Mass Storage. Then Put Your USB Lead In. Let The Computer Install The Drivers Wait A Few Minutes.
Then Removable Disk J (Normaly J If Not It Will Another One) Then Auto Play Will Pop Up And Your Able To Get To All The Stuff On Your Phone
