Line gear has a broken tooth on it, possibly. or you have a sliver of paper stuck under the plenum (large black roller that paper wraps around to feed). you can pop the cover off, by pulling the front edge up and away from the base (clips in only, no screws). remove the plenum with tabs that pull up on either side of it. pull out the plenum, and check for any paper under that area. good luck.

Documents wont feed

If not using track feed paper this printer should have a setting for paper height. If its set too high the
rollers wont grab the paper. Also look for any paper that might be jammed or caught up in any of
the roller mechanics.

My printer prints. The problem witht he printing is that it prints every line over the first line. It doesnt move the page up it just stays in one spots and prints in the same spot every time.

Check the lever setting on the right side. It may be in the wrong position. It controls whether it is tractor feed or friction feed by patten roller.

Is there any grinding, this could indicate a problem with the feed gears.

I try to print and the paper won't advance, prints everything on one line.

The unit needs to be cleaned and vaccuumed, pay carefull attention to the paper feed rollers. You might consider getting a Service Manual for it, if you do here is a link.

Good luck.

The printer cannot be set to a page length when printing from a dos program. The page length is incorrect but changes with every print even though the same file is printed

Prints from DOS programs do not have a "page length" setting of their own, nor do dot matrix printer have a page length of their own.

Page feed is achieved by sending a special control code (^L), and the meaning of ^L can be set through specific escape codes that the DOS program has to know.

My guess is that you need to tell the DOS program the page size in lines or inches, and maybe instruct it to send a page feed command after each page.

You can try directly programming the printer, but if the DOS program is sending out the wrong codes, this is not going to help. Anyway, here goes. Good luck!

I have oki microline 320 elite and printer head jams

In my own experience, Okidata printers have a nasty habit of collecting a lot of paper dust. To start out, I would suggest a really good cleaning, with no paper in the machine, with a can of compressed air. If that does not solve your problem, you might have to replace your feed wheel assembly. Hope this helps!

Okidata Microline 320 turbo problem

Solved this problem by going into the bios and changing the port from ECP to EPP, and then uninstalling the ECP port in device manager and replacing it with a standard parallel port configuration, no problems since doing that.

Try downloading and installing an updated driver for your printer.

Here is the driver download page for your printer: MICROLINE 320 TURBO < Drivers & software

Select your operative system, download the file, then run the installer.

First, make sure that paper feed switch is set accordingly to the paper path you are using (rear feed, bottom feed or friction). If you make a change, turn the unit off and on.

If it is set correctly, there might be an obstruction on the printer top cover that interferes with the cover sensors. This forces the printer to think that the lid is still open and will signal it as you have described.

The last option will be a damage to the sensors or to the mainboard. This is rare, but if the case, you need a repair center.

Be blessed.
