Is this the USB ports at the front of the computer, or the USB ports in the rear mounted onto the motherboard?

The usb ports are mounted on the back of the motherboad.
The ones on the front or side of your tower case are connected to the mother board via cable that plugs into terminals on the motherboad.

It sounds like your USB stick has died on you. Unfortunately USB drives are not very durable and these things happen, I've been through at least a dozen now! Try it in another computer and see if it works there. If it does then try updating the USB drivers on your PC.

My flash drive kingston 8 gb is write protected. how can i open my flash drive?

Hi.

Try these steps.

Carefully switch the write protect tab to Write enabled when inserting the flash in the usb "PC".

try using it. This happens mostly when you are inserting the usb, the tab is pushed to Protected mode without noticing.

If that doesnt work, i suggest you buy a new flash from different brand and less GB.

Good Luck

I unplug my front audio connector cable and usb 2.0 connectors on my motherboard while putting in a new graphics card in the pci-e slot. After I inserted them back, my pc didn't want to switch on and I...

Uninstall the newly installed Graphics card and boot again. If it boots up normally, then the graphics card must be incompatible with your motherboard or might have some defect with it. Or if the system doesn't boot up even after the new graphics card is uninstalled, then you need to recheck the connectors and make sure everything is connected/inserted properly and fitted. The best way to check connection faulty is, plug-in one after another while you boot the system everytime... you plug in a connector. First connect the power switch and so on..

If you need further help, let me know.

Good luck.

this could be a service not running, go to your start menu and type services.msc in the run box and hit ok.you will get a service window up with whats running, scroll to the bottom and make sure windows time is started. if you right click on it and go to properties you can set it to automatic then it will startup every time you turn on your pc.

hope it helps

Usb port problem

It's possible that your PC is not receiving adequate power from the power supply unit (PSU) to power everthing in use and the USB devices that you are attempting to connect. The USB port provides power as well as data connection. If you know it, what is the rating of the power supply unit in your computer?

PSU's are easy to upgrade, and some stores will let you return them if that's now what you need. (CompUSA (R.I.P.) was my favorite for troubleshooting repairs. By it, test it, bring it back if it wasn't the fix you needed.) Find someone you know/trust who know's what they're doing, or bring your CPU to a PC repair facility and let them test your computer and do the needed repair/upgrade there. Just be ready to spend a few more bucks.

Hope that helps. Let us know how you make out.
