Something may have gotten jostled inside, hopefully not broken though. Try taking all the batteries out and then putting them back in and see if it will turn on.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
New users get to try the service completely Free afterwhich it costs $6 per call and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

In Sequence mode, the U(n) value is missing from the table on a TI-83 plus. How do I get it back?

If you erase the second column of a table (whatever your reasons) you can regenerate it by reinserting the function in the Y= editor.
Enter the function then press [2nd][GRAPH] to regenerate the table.

I am looking on Craigs list at a TI-83 plus that is 5 yrs. old. Is this unit as good as a new one? ( or one that is two yrs. old)

A TI-83 Plus is a TI-83 Plus. An old one may not have the most current firmware or apps, but you can download those from

TI-83 Plus will not let me view a table

Hello,
I have just done what you said you had done, but I got a nice, correct table of values. You might have discoverd a secret command to clear memory.

Cheers.

No Y's in Table

The tables will not say Y specifically, they only say L1, L2, L3, etc. UNLESS you type in an equation in the "Y=" button menu. When you type an equation in on that page, and then hit "2nd" "GRAPH", you will get X and Y values for that equation.

Ti85

kinda. The TI-85 programs differently, lacks a table feature, is not upgradable, has redefinable keys, has a larger screen, is smaller, energy efficient, TI-86 semi-compatible, and is older.
The TI-84+ has archive memory, flash-upgradable, FSTN (clearer) screen, 16*8 screen, USB On-The-Go compliant, almost a centimeter longer, assembly language support, and a tad bit faster.

TI-82: $89
TI-83 Plus: $79-99
Free TI-85: $0
TI-84 plus: $119.99
TI-84+SE: $129-139
TI-89 Titanium: $149
