Well, you will need at least another keyboard to get going, or else I,m afraid nothing can be done. See if you can borrow a k/b from a friend preferably a mouse as well.

Apart from that you can try the usual..use new batteries in both k/b and mouse, press connect button on reciever and connect button on k/b, wait about 20-30mins and connect the mouse the same way..

Better try to download and install the latest driver from the manufacturer's website first..

Hope this helps..

You could try using the Microsoft k/b and mice software. They should work on Dell systems as well..

I can't get my wireless keyboard to work even after trying everything can think go or told by Windows XP. Anything else i could try? Lee

Hi,

First try changing the batteries, reconnect the dongle or the connection device of your wireless keyboard and mouse, then restart your computer. If the step wont work reinstall the Bluetooth/Infrared software driver the wireless keyboard and mouse then restart the computer. If this fails still look under Ad/Remove programs if you have a Setpoint installed then remove it and restart computer, both or at least one of the devices should work. If one or both wont work then you need to contact the manufacturer and have the defective device/s be replaced. Just a heads up, they may ask you to reinstall your operating system / do a reformat of your computer so you need to back up your data ahead of time using a wired keyboard and mouse. Have a nice day ahead!

If these are connected to your computer via USB ports, it sounds as is your USB port drivers may be gone. You may need to update or reinstall your drivers.

Wireless keyboard and mouse not working, battery in receiver?

The receiver should not have a battery. It gets its power from the USB port. Try uninstalling both keyboard and mouse via (Control Panel...Device Manager) and reinstalling them. Sometimes the drivers get corrupted and reinstalling them will fix that. Also there are on/off switches on the mouse and maybe the keyboard. Check that someone hasn't turned them off to save batteries when not in use.

What o/s are you using? If Vista(and your mouse works) you can access the onscreen keyboard to log into your computer and access the utility to reconnect your keyboard.

Wireless keyboard and does work

If you go to the Dell website and click on support they can scan your computer and let you know if you have any missing or corrupt drivers. You will need your model and possibly the service tag number which should be on one of the labels on your computer. Dell keeps some of the drivers on their website
