The cover for the light bulb does not just pop off. The coldness setting is in the way, and it does not pull off either.

Hi, on mine I have a 5/16 screw in the middle of the cover that is hard to see. It takes a long screwdriver or nut driver to lower it enough to change this bulb. I am sure you have looked it over good, but it will come off. Look for the screw. Some of the older ones just pop off but not this model. Keep me posted on this.
Sincerely,

Hello,

Take a closer look at the casing the bulb is fixed in. you will see some screws by the edge, unscrew them and you will have access to the bulb.

Then you can replace the bulb and fix it into the case you took it out from.

Take care

Changing the Light Bulb-

To change a light bulb in the refrigerator, remove the plastic cover that covers the light bulb. This cover should just pop off by simply squeezing the cover gently. Look at the bulb to see how many watts it is and the type of bulb, you can buy a new bulb at any home improvement center. Insert the new light bulb and replace the cover.

If the light on the refrigerator is not working after changing the bulb, unplug the refrigerator. Using a screwdriver, gently pop out the push-button collar on the inside side wall of the refrigerator. There will be two wires connected to the push button switch . Remove the two wires and replace the switch.
To change the refrigerator light bulb:

  1. Unplug refrigerator or disconnect power.
  2. Slide the light bulb cover toward the back of the compartment to release it from the light assembly.
  1. Replace burned-out bulb(s) with appliance light bulb(s) no greater than 40 watts.
  2. Replace the light bulb cover by inserting the tabs on the cover into the liner holes on each side of light assembly. Slide the cover toward the front until it locks into place.

NOTE: Do not force the cover beyond its locking point; doing so may damage the light cover.
  3. Plug in refrigerator or reconnect power.
  4. In some models The light bulb cover opens from the back. Firmly press forward on the notches in the back of the cover and pull down the cover.
If the refrigerator compartment light does not come on but the refrigerator is cooling, make sure the light switch inside the refrigerator compartment or freezer compartment is not stuck in the closed position.
The light switches (on some models) are located on the ceiling inside the freezer compartment or on the outer wall inside the refrigerator compartment.
Thanks. Keep updated for any more query. You can rate this solution and show your appreciation.

How to replace burned out light bulb

You need to remove the top cover to access the bulb. That is the only way on most microwaves.

My dome light stopped working. I think the bulb may be burned out. How do I replace it?

the dome light cover just pops off by prying with a screwdriver..this will expose the bulb and you can probably figure it out from there... sometimes the bulbs unscrew out and sometimes they pop out also

Tail light is burned out on tail light. I have the bulbs but can't figure out how to remove and replace burned out light.

  1. Check with your local auto parts store or look in your owner's manual to find the proper model number of the replacement tail light globe.

  2. Open your trunk or lift your hatchback. Find the cover just on the inside of your vehicle next to the burnt-out bulb.

  3. Turn the two latches counterclockwise to open them so the cover may be removed. In most cases you can turn the latches with your fingers; in some cases you may need a coin or a slot screwdriver to turn them. Remove the cover.

  4. Press the tabs that allow you to remove the tray that holds the tail light globes. There are four tabs on most VW models. Each tab must be depressed to release the tray. Pull the tray out a few inches, as far as the wiring allows.

  5. Press down slightly on the burned-out globe and turn it counterclockwise with your thumb and fingers. It should release easily and then pull straight out. Push the replacement bulb in and turn it clockwise until it locks in place.

  6. Snap the tail light tray back in place. The tray should simply push back into place and the four tabs should "snap" into their locked position. Replace the door cover and turn the door locks clockwise. Test your bulb to see that it is working.

Good Luck

I can't figure out how to get my 2003 Tundra taillight assembly off . I have removed the two bolts inside the tailgate area but it is still attached to the fender on the other side of the assembly . I have...

Unscrew the screws that are securing the brake light cover to the body of the Tundra. Pull the brake light cover off the body of the Tundra. Place the screws in the brake light cover and set it on the bed of the truck. Pull the burned-out light bulb out of the light fixture and discard it. Insert the new brake light bulb into the light fixture. Pump the Tundra's brakes to make sure the new bulb is working correctly. Replace the brake light cover on the body of the Tundra and replace the screws.

How to change light bulb in refrigerator

Hello,

Unplug the Whirlpool refrigerator from the electrical outlet.
Step 2
Locate the bulb on the inside of the Whirlpool refrigerator.
Step 3
Remove the light cover. Usually these just snap off, but, on some models, they may need to be unscrewed. Use your screwdriver to unscrew the light cover retaining screws (if required).
Step 4
Unscrew the old light bulb.
Step 5
Screw in the new light bulb.
Step 6
Replace the light cover. Plug the Whirlpool refrigerator back in. Test your new light bulb.
Also note that the below can also work

Unplug refrigerator or disconnect power.
Slide the light bulb cover toward the back of the compartment to release it from the light assembly.
Replace burned-out bulb(s) with appliance light bulb(s) no greater than 40 watts.
Replace the light bulb cover by inserting the tabs on the cover into the liner holes on each side of light assembly. Slide the cover toward the front until it locks into place.

NOTE: Do not force the cover beyond its locking point; doing so may damage the light cover.
Plug in refrigerator or reconnect power.
To change the freezer light bulb:

Unplug refrigerator or disconnect power.

NOTE: You may need to remove the upper freezer shelf or basket to access the light assembly.
The light bulb cover opens from the back. Firmly press forward on the notches in the back of the cover and pull down the cover.

Remove the cover and replace the burned-out bulb with an appliance bulb no greater than 40 watts.
Insert the front tabs of the cover into the liner and snap the back portion of the cover over the light assembly.
Plug in refrigerator or reconnect power.

Good luck in applying the solution

What a compliment. Thanks, Dave!

I was off on the ohms, though, I was figuring on a lower wattage bulb -- the higher the wattage the lower the ohms.

I have an admiral microwave model 8573

That's made by Sharp and many of theirs (and other brands) require you to take the outer cover off to change the bulb. Here's how: Unplug the oven first. That's rule one! Remove all of the screws from the side and back of the outer wrapper / cover of the microwave. There are usually four on the rear edges and two on the bottom of the edges on each side of the cover. The cover then should be slid slightly backward then up from the rear and it will slide off. You may have to pat down on the sides to loosen it first. I use firm and simultaneous open-palmed slaps on both sides near the front, then pull it up and off. It is possible that some voltage will remain on the high voltage capacitor and can be conducted via contact with wires, connectors and components connected to it. If you stay away from all the wiring in the right rear (as you're looking at the front door) it should not be a problem. Unless there is a problem, the voltage should actually not be present. If you and the work area are clean and dry, and you only touch the light bulb while the cover is off, there should be no problem. Change the bulb. It may be held in with a bit of clear tape, too, so take a look at the socket first. When putting it back on, be careful that the inside front edges of the cover catch properly in the slots in the chassis. Good luck and be safe! Make sure it is unplugged!
