If the picture looks good, I wouldn't touch a thing, usually I end up cutting down the brightness a bit with a new set out of the box, and adjusting the contrast to suit my tastes. Sound is probably good as is.

Just bought a samsung ps50a557s3f 50" plasma tv and the picture isnt very good.Have only got normal sky at the moment and i was wondering what the best settings are

Hi Smudger

Not sure if you still have this issue, but i have just bought this TV & also use sky (not + or HD)...

I got myself a Monster Cable Home Theatre surge protection unit from comet, basically it helps filter out all the background interference (picture & sound) & helps boost the signal sent to the TV..

I use a gold plated scart lead from the sky box to the TV & the picture is spot on.......i've not noticed any ghosting/pixeling etc & am well impressed...

The unit came with a top end HDMI cable & cost £135 (bit excessive you may think, but to buy the unit & cable seperate would cost £250!!) + the cable is a 'cable for life', so you can get a free updated cable as technology progresses :-)

My sky signal was always at half power (you can view this from the sky menu options) & now its almost full signal

Hi! name's wesley. anyways, here's the problem. i just bought a new samsung 32' lcd tv and everything is great except for one thing: when i connect my ps2 to the "av 2" input, the sound comes out...

There is a problem with the AV2 input. Since this is a new set, return it for repair or exchange. DO NOT open it up as that would void the warranty.

How do I get my HD channels to work?

if the tv is an LCD then you may have power supply issues inside the tv causing all of the trouble.

if it is a projection tv then it sounds like you have multiple problems.

contact a service center for this problem.
