You need a Q3025-60177 Black rounded sort of
big of with electrical plugs coming out of it about 1 inch wide and the cord that has rounded smaller type metal exposed push in plug at the end of it. The important part is the Q3025-60177 number you will find on the plastic part with the prongs coming out of it

Was the printer new? Try it in another pc to make sure it's all right. Then try another usb cable. When you attach the cable, the pc should recognize when the printer is on.

HP Photosmart Printer, Mac won't recognize with USB

Sounds like their is not communications between your printer and computer. Could be a bad USB cable - swap out and see if that fixes it. If not it could be a faulty USB port on the computer or printer. You can check the computer USB port by connecting another device, but there is no way to check the HP's USB port. I would also check printer USB port for dust bunnies! If you're not able to resolve, I think it is time for another printer.

Photosmart 145 fix

Normal 0 Normal 0 Driver could be corrupt.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
Hope this helps. Bud
