THE CARD IS SET FOR ERASURE PREVENTION
- The LOCK switch on the SD or SDHC memory card is set to prevent accidental erasure. Change the position of
the LOCK switch.

So the pics vanished from the memory card, right? Perhaps you can insert the card to your computer and try a photo recovery tool on it. Give this app a try if you're a Mac user. Recover Digital Photo Music and Video on Mac OS

Accidentally deleted video from Cannon EOS 600D Rebel T3i

It should be no problem getting it back with recovery software. Just try to stop taking any more photos or videos to lessen the chance of overwriting your lost video. See this article for instructions on how to recover deleted/formatted videos/photos.

Canon fs300 says card has been set for erasure prevention; won't let me record

Look at your memory card. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.
If that doesn't do it, try another card.

Eraser prevention how do i get rid of it !!!!

The camera does not provide erasure prevention. It's selected by a small sliding door on the cassette shell. It's selectable to either record or save. Save position will not allow recording.

Canon FS200, cant record or take pictures, says card is set for erasure prevention, switched position of lock switch on card but it still wont work.

The most likely cause is a malfunction of the card lock switch in the cameras card reader. This can be repaired fairly inexpensively. However, it's not a user serviceable problem and will need to be repaired by a qualified service technician.

My name is Rick and I'm a professional repair technician with over 20 years in the business and have repaired many of these. I'm semi retired and work from home with little overhead so I can keep repair costs low. If you decide to have the camera repaired, please click HERE for a directory listing that suits your needs.

The card is set for erasure prevention how do i change that

Hi,
It depends upon the type of card which you are using and the type of device in which you are using the card.

Remove the card from the device and check for any small switch/knob which causes the card in read-only mode.
If nothing is present, then try connecting your card to a computer using a card reader and try to format the card.

i hope this is helpful to you.
Thanks

I cannot turn off the erasure prevention on my memory card. I have a Canon ZR200

Take the card out and look along the edge for a small 'switch'. This switch will have a 'locked' and an 'unlocked' position. Make sure it is 'unlocked'.

You can download a user manual here. Your problem, however, does not seem to be related to the camera, but to the SD card. Take the card out and look along the edge for a small 'switch'. This switch will have a 'locked' and an 'unlocked' position. Make sure it is 'unlocked'. If you still get the advisory, try another SD card. (Sometimes those little 'switches' fail.)
