It seems to be some kind of router problem. I think the best thing to do would be to call Linksys support. I know it can be a pain waiting for the call, but that's your best bet..Sorry I'm not of more help..

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Contact a network service provider. The device is wireless capable takes time to search for available signals displaying an error without successful attempts. The device appears to have a prior network provider because has firefox interface which is a display browser to a network.
contact a network provider to get connection signals.

Ethernet driver problem

Hello today is 7-22 and I as on a Dell Dimension C521 running Vista Basic AMD 64 and was having a problem with a no driver install in the device manager for the Ethernet Controller. I took out the net card and found the model # on it. mines was a Linksys Support
l,81.png EtherFast 10/100 LAN Card (LNE100TX)I download three drivers one from Linksys/Cisco website:

http://homesupport.cisco.com/en-us/wireless/lbc/LNE100TX/download

and two from this opendrives.com site:

http://www.opendrivers.com/driver/214850/linksys-lne100tx-version-5-etherfast-10-100-lan-card-driver-free-download.html

http://www.opendrivers.com/driver/284251/linksys-lne100tx-network-driver-5.12-windows-98-me-nt4-2000-xp-linux-free-download.html

They all are zip files. I unzip them in the same folder and went back to the device manager and told it to look in the folder and it found it and I am up and running able to connect to the internet.

I CAN NOT CONNECT TO THE INTERNET ..using Linksy wireless remote

the wireless card installed to your computer is working..as you said you can view all wireless networks...your computer is good too...the only issue is you cant connect to the wireless router...

turn off and unplug the power cable of the Modem
turn off and unplug the power cable the router

wait for 30 seconds
plug in and turn on the modem, wait for all the light turn to solid green ( no blinking lights )

then power on the router

if you saw the wireless icon light turn solid...

go to your computer...right click the wireless icon...select repair

if this doesnt work....reset your internet router by press and hold the reset button behind the router near the power plug (atleast 15 sec)

then connect your PC..the wireless network dont have the WEP key anymore because of the reset..you can reconfigure and put back the WEP key when you get connected.

I was told I could find tutorials on networking my 2 computers here?

Check

http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/networking/overview/networking.html

http://www.leeindy.com/ Look towards the middle you might find a match

Technically to connect two computers together all you need is a crossover cable. But if you are planning on connecting to computers onto a network its best to describe more. I would then need to know what kind of Service Provider you have? and whats ur network setup like and so forth.generally for that you would need a router to split an internet connection to two computers. the router would have to be connected to the service provider modem.

Read above links and they should help you out. If you need any more info. Please let me know.

I need to know if my laptop is still under warrenty. Barbara Gibbons

You can contact the company and ask them by providing the serial number. They will check the number and let you know. If you prefer not to call you can ask technical support. To ask technical support click on the following link and then first enter your product number. After you do this you will see a link on the side to speak with someone from technical support.

Compaq Support Link

Good luck and keep me posted.

Your router should just be that, a router. Your connection is probably like fibernet the modem is actually on the outside of the house. This may help or may not but I have a linksys wired router that works very well but you have to go to their website in order to set up the router. You may need to look through your papers and find the web address to connect to the right site.
