Hi,

Try Power cycling by removing and inserting the power cord may fix the problem for now.

Well here is a partial solution. Turn off Dynamic Iris and the noise will go away. Now could someone tell me how to fix the Dynamic Iris?

Turning off Auto Iris helps but it can still make noise. Disabling the mechanism by unplugging it will eliminate the noise and the Iris should open fully when unplugged. So this is a fix for the noise, not the Iris. Remove the Shift Lever that adjust the lens direction (unscrew and pull). Remove the filter on the right side. Remove six screws marked with arrow on the bottom. Remove one screw marked with arrow on the rear. Remove the top cover. On the front side of the main board locate the third connector from the left with eight blue wires and one white. Disconnect this connector. Reassemble projector.

I have dell 3300mp,when I turn the power on it makes a very loud noise. It does not make the sound in standby or cool down. It does work and display a signal okay, but it is very loud. Sound like a fan?,...

The main fan that cools the lamp is mostly high speed when the unit is running. when it shuts down it slows the fan down, until it stops in standby. So the noise is only really loud when it is showing a picture.

try setting the fan to eco mode (slower running) and see if the noise is acceptable. If it is still too loud then you will have to replace it. Have a look at the fan and see if any of the plastic blades are missing.

Dell 3300mp Projector No Signal found to Digital DVD

Guys, the projector doesn't do HDCP.  HDMI won't work.  You'll need to run over component or VGA.

How old is your unit and or how many hours are on the lamp?
As the lamps age they run hotter and it could need replacing.
If so, buy just the bulb instead of the lamp assy and install it yourself.

No lit / projected image even with a new bulb!

Let me add...

I had one 3300MP and removed/replaced the bulb to dust off as it was overheating. There is a small metal like switch that resets the bulb replacement (physical switch - take a good look) -- This helped to reset the first time I did this, but doesn't reset the hours on the chip.

However, since this bulb was problematic for me, I have done this a couple of times and since has stopped powering the bulb now. So, thinking it was the bulb, I replaced the bulb, -- No good... So, thinking it was the projector, I bought a new/refurbished one on ebay -- tested the NEW bulb - NO GOOD. now I have TWO PROJECTORS, THREE BULBS and NOTHING THAT WORKS...

WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?
