Won't run! I bought a used, although in very good condition, Jeep...probably 3 yrs. old...the owners purchased a new battery last's been working fine and our grandkids are LOVING it...however, it just stopped running. I will take the battery somewhere to have it checked but our son doesn't think that is the problem...where can we take it to have it "serviced" or fixed? We are in St. Louis, MO. PLEASE do not add/sell my email address to solicitors.

Well I do hope it dries out...and works.Good luck!Let me know if you need help.I don't really trust battery testers as much as an actual reading, but with all that water, depending on the battery(s),they may be no good now.

SOURCE: I have a powerwheels barbie

I would suggest checking all of the connections in the wiring. Often the spade type connections can come unseated during use.
Check the following areas:

  1. Connection to the battery itself
  2. Connection to the foot switch (you may need to unscrew it from the floorboard to check)
  3. Connection to the electric motor(s) attached to the rear wheels
If the battery is older, it may have failed. If you have a multimeter, or even a simple test light, you can check to see if the battery has voltage. You're looking for around 5-6 volts. Anything below just off the charger could indicate failure.
Hope that's helpful!

SOURCE: We bought a Tickle Me

There is usually a warrenty issue with the time frame that you have waited to return the item to Walmart. If you still have the receipt which you will need take it to the return counter with receipt and the item and ask them if they can or will exchange the item for you. That is really all you can do to get this exchanged they will not even work with you if you do not have a receipt for the item and all the parts and stuff with you. Walmart is usually good with their customer support and exchanges, however you may have an issue with the length of time you have had it.

You might want to check the charger for it for the battery the charger may not be working you can possibly try to get another charger for it if the batteries are new then try another charger for it. I hope that this assisted you my son is lost without his so I understand. I replaced my charger and it worked great after that. Thanks for using FixYa! John

1998 Toyota Avalon XLS -- Will not start. No clicking.

It definitely sounds like a weak battery issue. Ck your connections at the battery for cleanliness & tightness. U need to have the batt checked along w the charging system & ckd for electrical shorts. If no problem is found that is the starting line. It may be a prob in the ignition system etc. if the problem isn't found by here. Good Luck

I just bought a 2000 vstar 650 yamaha classic. it was sitting for 1 year. i replace the sparks, fuel filter, new gas. it still will not turn over and acts like it will take a charge for a while and...

Hi, Jaynell if your bike has been sitting idle for months or years and you did not do any pre-storage maintenance I feel your pain it will probably have a dead battery and not want to start or if it starts it will idle and run poorly, here are the following steps necessary to complete in order to get your bike back to an acceptable running condition.
1. If your battery was 2-3 years old when you last had the bike running you should replace it.
2. If you believe your battery might still be serviceable remove it from the bike and put it on a 1 or 2 amp trickle charger for 24 hours. If it is the old lead acid type with visible cells and acid levels fill each cell to the top line with distilled water and replace the caps, run the vent tube into a plastic or styrofoam cup, any cells that are cloudy/milky replace the battery.
3. After charging remove the leads and let the battery sit for a couple of hours then check the battery voltage with a volt meter, you should have 12.5 volts or better, any readings in the 11 volt range you need to do a proper load test on the battery and replace as necessary, any readings in the 10 volt range you have a dead cell and replace the battery.
4. Drain and flush fuel tank, google " how to clean a motorcycle gas tank" find a couple forums to view the different options available.
5. Remove your air cleaner and clean and re-oil per Mfg. specifications.
6. Remove the carburetor, disassemble and decontaminate with a carb dip or if you have EFI remove injectors and clean with carb spray and compressed air
7. Remove fuel valve and filter disassemble and clean as necessary, remove fuel lines and replace with new ones.
8. Replace spark plug with a new one and check for spark.

I bought a used Acer Aspire One model KAV60. The battery won't charge past 60%. Do I need a new battery or is it something I can fix?

If the computer is more than 2 yrs old you must change the battery. Also the battery due to overcharging looses its capability to last long which probably may have happened in this case. My advice buy a new one as it has already showing signs of Fatigue

Battery is about 3 years old, bought the car used last year.

You need to check the voltage in the battery. Depending on the quality of the battery, 3 years in some cases means its time for a new one. Have it checked first before you replace it. Auto zone or any good service place can check the battery to determine how good it is.

Braun shaver won't charge

Batteries have an expiry date, Even if you're not using them they are still discharging. Even the regular AA type you buy at the shops.

Batteries can die even if there is a lack of use. And even regular rechargeable shavers that are used all the time have only a limited life a little shorter that=n what you've had.

Should you get new batteries or a new shaver? probably not, you're using 2-3 times a year. I'd recommend buying a cheap Braun or Remington that can take AA's.

Car won't start even after new battery purchase

Alternator problem, the alternator charges the battery when car is running, so it has probably died now. Was working at reduced capacity for a while, which is why you were only getting a partial charge for some time. Now you have an open circuit completely as alternator has failed completely, time for a visit to an auto electrician. PS replacing acid in battery with distilled water is not a good idea. It probably was time for a new battery anyway.

Digital rebel battery drain with flash only

I would suspect the batteries

Ive got an eos Rebel think its just over 4 years old
for the last year its been used every weekend for several hours 300+ pics per weekend between 2 nights I found that recently where one battery would last a night the battery was running out midway through & also taking longer to charge afterwards

2 after market replacements cost me about £10 and things are back to normal

5 years is a pretty good lifespan for a battery so its probably just getting old

After reading comments and complaints from other frustrated Maytag owners, I just went out and bought a new LG EnergyStar dehumidifier. I'm taping the receipt inside a plastic bag, along with the user manual, to the side of the machine. Hope this one works for a LONG time! Ronnisue
