I have installed os xp in my pc but i cant able to get the sound output in my speakers

Its just because the sound card drivers are missing u can install them from the CD u got with your PC! if u are using the on board audio card then these drivers will be on the motherboard CD! if using pci card then it will be on the CD/floppy u got with it! or else search the net for drivers.

No sound


Go into your sounds settings Control Panel> Hardware and Sound (on Xp its just sound)> sound> You should have 4 types of speakers available. I have Digital Output Device (HDMI) Speakers Realtek Digital Output Realtek HDMIOutput my default was the HDMI and i changed it to speakers and then my speakers worked.

Cant hear sound after changing the operatin system


You need to reinstall all mobo drivers for that system. Go to vendors site and download / install.

NB = Always install chipset drivers first.

Make sure u have the latest Sound Drivers installed and that in Control Panel, Sound, Speaker Settings u selected 5 speaker output.. Default it s 2.

Sound issues are existent withinin vista onwards as is decreased from normal as with xp and previous. To fix problem of this depends on installing an appropriate os system...

Go into your device manager and see if there are any yellow question marks and if there is it need a driver i dont think it is windows xp that is at fault

Yes; Either the speakers themselves or the  wiring leadign to them. By using exturnal seakers you confirrmed the sound and driver software both to be ok.

Speakers not working


It may be cause of some problems, at first you should find that what's the source of this problem,so I suggest you some ways:
1. Plug in other speakers to your pc, if it works so the source of problem comes from your speakers and you should fix it, and if it doesn't work, too, it means that your PC and your Sound Card has a problem.
2. If source of problem comes from your PC, be sure that you installed your sound card driver.
3. After you installing sound driver,maybe the problem will terminate! if not, I suggest you reinstall your OS.
Note: You could find your sound card driver by a simple search through Google or Yahoo and find your driver.

DRIVERS FOR WINDOWS 98 AND WINDOWS XP ARE DIFFERENT, YOU NEED TO INSTALL THE CORRECT ON EFOR THE OS YOU NEED
