Question about Office Equipment & Supplies

1 Answer

Im working with a Lanier 032c, the machine reports a jam in section B. The paper doesnt leave the 1st or 2nd tray, and from either tray it reports a jam in that section. Im thinking first the feed tires but I think its now even attempting to feed the paper in bother trays can it be a problem with the motors that spin the feed tires?

If the feed tires are moving but not pulling the paper in it then its the problem of feed tires .The feed tires have gone worn out and it has to be replaced.
But if the feed tires are not at all moving or they are moving but very slowly then its the confirm problem of motor in-case there is no actual paper jam.
In some cases it has been noticed that the machine hums bit slowly if the motor is faulty. If the feed tires look ok and not worn out and there is no actual paper jam then yes the fault indicates towards the motor.

Thanks. keep updated for any more query.you can rate this solution and show your appreciation.

Our ld090 copier keeps reporting a jam in the output tray, but there is no jam. We have been told this is a problem with a sensor. What can we do?

If there is no paper inside, maybe the problem is with some sensor. Exit sensor maybe...
But you also can see somethings. Make sure that the doors are well closed. If you have an open switch (door switch) the machine don't change the first message (that is "jam").

Im using ricoh 2045..Paper jam occurs at point A1 (the lever the drops to remove the paper) . I have noticed roller A1 and registration roller doesn't rotate. When i remove the paper and close the covers...

this is not a thought I am 100% sure and give you the correct solution:
problem with the paper feeding section is dusty or due to developer drooping
1. Open the developer unit and check the rear side developer unit bush one or two bush are faulty
and drop the developer.
2. remove all paper trays with remove the four each screws
3. Remove the toner collection bottle
4. Remove the right side cover.
5. Remove paper left roller plate.(show in the picture)
6. Now remove the first tray paper feeding section(is a complete unit included paper feed rollers motor and clutch and gear section)
7. Clean the drooped developer from all gears and roller and motor section
8. remove the second and third tray paper feeding section and doing the same.
9. now fix it all
10. replace developer unit bush witch are faulty or if you don't have yet cut a plastic sheet and past the upper side of first paper feeding unit gears witch are don't disturb the paper path and stop the developer drooping on the gear good_help.pnggood_help_0.png

MPC4000 jamming when copying double-sided color paper. Is there a fix?

1st question is does it jam on regular plain white paper dbl sided ? if yes it depends on where it jams and what the service jam code is, if no then how thick of color paper is it ( is it within the copier specs ? ). If the paper is within the specs you should set either the paper tray or bypass tray for the correct paper weight in user tools, because it does two things : 1 it slows down the copier speed and 2nd it increases the heat level.

It keeps saying paper jam why? it is not jammed/

Paper jams are reported under two conditions.

1) Paper reaches a sensor and never leaves it.

2) Paper does not reach the sensor in the time allotted.

A simple test is to put a mark on the next page that should be pulled from the paper tray. If the paper is pulled from the tray, you will find it inside the printer. If the paper fails to feed, it will be sitting in the tray where you marked it.

Lanier 6725 copier: Paper is always jamming and

I have worked for Lanier for 20 years, the 6725 was a great machine, but getting parts, spending $$$ and still having an old copier. Lanier is owned by Ricoh and all machines are Ricoh with a Lanier sticker on it. Its time.
-Carl, please let me know if this helps.

Misfeed on lanier 7320

I like your pictures.... Have you tried to clean the feed roller with a slittly damp rag with Simple Green or WD-40? You can try that and wipe the extra off. They both clean the rubber roller's. If that works good, that means the feed rollers are worn and need replacing. But you may also need the paper pick-up feed clutch. You said you can still run paper throw the by-pass. Good Luck

Misfeed on lanier 7320

Sounds like a dirty sensor or a small piece of paper stuck. Check the feeder, left side, underneath. There should be a switch actuator
in the paper path that is visible. Also, on the right side, check all of the openings for anything stuck. If you have no luck, get some canned air and blow out everything. If its still jammed, it can be easily unplugged in the back of the machine, and the machine section will still operate.
