Get the mower on a flat slab of concrete. Raise the deck all the way. Make sure the blades are on correctly. Measure the distance from each corner of the deck to ground. Lower the deck and take the same measurements. You will find, if you look, some threaded rod/bolt and/or pin settings to make adjustments. Most often the deck is out of whack as someone took it off and did not put it back on correctly. Google the mower's make and the word "'manual" if you cannot figure it out. Someone out there will provide you with a manual if you cannot figure it out from looking at it and there will be instructions in the manual as to making the adjustments.

Will an older 42 inch murray riding lawn mower deck interchange with an older rally riding lawn mower deck ?

Mower decks are very specific to the tractor. Unless it was the same manufactured mower, and just branded differently, then not likely! Belts are your next problem as even an inch longer or shorter will cause problems.

Murray Select Model # 405000X8 trong vibration when I engage mower deck. Also can't keep deck even.

Could be a number of things included but not limited to.....blade spindle bearings....idle pulley or engager pulley......could also have a bad spot in belt....causing a vibration. This vibration could also lead to deck coming out of level as that model have a leveling adjustment on the deck level control lever.

Having problems leveling the mower deck I have a murray 38 inch ridding mower that I can't get ythe deck to level out the mower has a leveling position on the height lever I do not have a manual for it...

put it on a level surface then put blocking ( 2x4s work) under the deck and drop it on the blocking. loosen all the adjusting bols to let it settle squarly on the blocking then re-torque the bolts. Should be level.
If not check you blade berrings as they may be worn and the blade shaft may not be square to the deck
