You can't. Always shoot videos horizontally.

Rotate a clip
  1. Select the clip in the Timeline.
  2. In the Effects view, click the Edit Effects button.
  3. Expand the Motion effect in the Properties view, and do one of the following:

Rotate Video from Moonvalley is not expensive, works fine, little bit hard to register... but it should be at a bargain price if i remember well, in any case up to you

Download to your computer and you should be able to edit using Windows Movie Maker in the edit options.

I took a video with my finepix s5800 on vertical an now I cannot rotate it to watch it the "right way round" on my pc....please help, can I rotate it?


There is some very expensive video editing software that can accomplish this at some severe loss of quality but I can't imagine anyone spending that kind of money to turn a video. In the future, remember that videos are shot horizontally, not vertically.

Rotating the vedio clip


If you have windows - use windows movie maker. After you import the clip - go to toos>effects. Here you have the option to rotate it 90 or 270 degrees (depending on how you took the video). when you finish - plublish the movie. Now it should be rotated
