SOURCE: Honeywell digital thermostat won't turn off ac.

The Honeywell CT87 thermostat is a normal round thermostat, not digital and may have a sub-base installed with it that has a two switches on it. One is for Fan (Auto or On)and the other is for Heat, Cool and Off. Make sure the Fan switch is in the Auto position and the other switch is in either the Cool or Off mode. If you continue to get cooling, you have a short in the thermostat wire or a stuck relay in th indoor or outdoor unit. To test this, while the unit is running; remove the round outer ring on the thermostat by pulling it straight off towards you. You will find 3 slotted head screws that hold the thermostat to the sub-base. These screws are located at the 3 o'clock, 7 o'clock and 9 o'clock positions. Turn these screws counterclockwise with a small head screwdriver. They are held in place so should not fall and get lost. With the front of the thermostat removed from the base, the air conditioner should stop running. If the unit continues to run, you will need to have your A/C system inspected by a technician. If in fact your thermostat is digital, look to see how it is mounted to its sub-base and remove it. If the system stops, you may have a bad thermostat or the Fan switch is in the On position. Hopefully this will help.

SOURCE: changing a room thermostat a potterton to honeywell t6360

I think I've done it - but don't take this as absolute truth.
For the Honeywell T6360B the original Potterton wiring should be rewired as follows:
Brown [Live] goes to terminal 1; Blue [neutral] goes to Terminal 2 and the yellow/green [which is not an earth but a switched live - i.e. gives live to the heating system when the thermostat clicks in] goes to terminal 3.
Obviously all done with the power isolated and when it was switched back on we had heating again :o)
It's been on over two hours now and all seems fine.

SOURCE: honeywell ceramic heater hz341bl

Like most heaters, this Honeywell ceramic heater has a tip switch designed to turn the heater off if it falls over. Unfortunately, all you need to do is bump the heater and the switch can open. Sometimes the switch will stick and the heater won't come on even when it is upright—sticking during storage could easily happen, particularly if not stored upright. When the switch is stuck on my heater, when I try to tturn it on the yellow and green pilot lamps flash once but nothing happens.

The solution is to rattle it, shake it, and invert it a few times to unsitck the switch. It always works for me. Something probably best done before you get frustrated to the point of shoving it through the floor. Also, if the heater was running when the switch sticks, be sure it cools down so the thermal switch has a chance to come back on.

Just bought wine cooler on line from Costco, December 1, 2014 and delivered December 4, 2014, uncrated and plugged in December 5, 2014.....unit motor runs hot as can be and top of cooler hot to touch.

Compressors run hot and are cooled by the cold gas returning to motor via suction line. If top of unit is hot it is because your condenser, (part that gets rid of heat collected from inside) is up there doing its thing. If it draws excessive current the built in clixon will shut down juice to motor. The smell is just the paint and after a while it will disappear.

Why is our EuroCave DUO wine cooler model D264 freezing 1/4 inch of ice on back wall inside cooler?

Most cases of ice build up can be traced to seals that leak humid air into the cooler. Check the door seal carefully using a fresh $1 bill. The bill should not pull out easily when the door is closed. If the unit has a self defrost feature it it is not coming on. Ice buildup inside a wine cooler is very rare. The cooler box should not reach 32deg in normal operation. Does the unit seem to run continuously?

Beeping will not stop on wine cooler - red wine side

Beeping usually indicates that something has gone wrong. Probably not cooling properly. The water coming out would indicate that the unit has defrosted. Turn the unit back on again and see if the red side is cooling properly. Some wine fridges have independent evaporators which allows different cooling temps in different parts of the cabinet.

The wine cooler doesn't seem to be cooling light goes on when you open door so pretty sure it has electricity to it?

Can you hear it running? If there is a question, leave the door open and remain there until you hear it start. This may take up to 15 minutes.
What do you have the control on? Wine coolers ar not refrigerators. (White) wine typically served at cellar temp (around 50 to 55 degrees. My friend, please don't tell me you are chilling quality Reds! You are killing them.

Wine temp on Haier wine cooler BC112G went to LL, opened up and some champagnes frozen, other wines very cold, condensation all over door, how do you fix this error?

The error is likely caused by a bad temperature sensor. The control board may still be Okay.
Replacing both of them is recommended.
