Question about Acer Aspire 5602WLMI Notebook
After spilling water into keyboard, only half of keys work, how do I remove keypad from Acer Aspire 5602WLMI? Or is there something else I should try first.
Here is a great deal on a replacement keyboard:
To replace it, first of all, remove the power connector and the battery before you do anything on that laptop.
remove the 3 screws in the middle cover. remove that middle cover by putting a screwdriver in one of those holes which are covering the displaybrackets. pull it up slowly. same thing goes for the opposite side.
remove the 2 screws which are holding the keyboard and the cable to the mainboard.
Reassembly is the reverse of dissasembly, be careful with the ribbon cable as its fragile, and there is a little plastic piece that either pulls up or pulls out that releases the cable.
One of the easiest repairs to a laptop there is.
