I just purchased this acer aspire laptop computer 5315-2077 from walmart.com: problem is the mouse moves around on its own or freezes t jumps and also when typing words like this it to another part talready that is whyalready typed- like you see here. how to stop this mouse from jumping around on screen by itself??

- While keying in data, the data entry point jumps to where the cursor is. If I leave the cursor over an icon, the jump activates that icon, for instance "address book". I updated the ALPS touchpad driver and the problem seemed to go away but came back after a couple of weeks- GuestAug 07, 2008
- I am also having problem when typing the type is jumping all over the place. I use tmanuo have a wireless mouse and have now switched back to the the manun tal but do not know how to switch of keyboard on the laptop.I have Medion laptop.

Try disabling the mousepad on the laptop. sometimes this is what causes the problem. Another reason might be the mouse batteries. If they are running low you might experience problems like that.

- The mousepad or touchpad is on your laptop. The touchpad is the build in mouse pad on the laptop. There must bee a key combination disabliong the touch pad, so you can use the normal mouse. If you read you laptop manual you will be able to find how to disable the touch pad. I will try and come back to you on how to disable itYes
