Good day,
That warning comes on when the compressor shows excessively high running time.
The condenser should be cleaned. However, to vacuum it is rarely effective.
The coils are too deep for a vac to clean them properly.
The only effective way is to blow the dirt out. Service techs usually use compressed air or nitrogen to perform the cleaning job properly.
It needs to be cleaned from both sides. First the outside, and then removing the panel that covers the compressor area. from the inside. It needs to be blown clean. It's a filthy ugly proceess but is necessary to do the job right.
If you have no access to an air or nitrogen tank then a good shop vac with a crevice tool makes a good substutute.
Once done (the power to the machine must be turned off before cleaning) then restart the machine and give it time to settle down.
If that fails to solve the problem, and the compressor is being overtaxed it would be smart to call in a qualified Sub Zero tech to determine what's at issue. Failing to do so could wind up costing you a compressor, a very pricey repair.

My fridge has a temperatur reading of 4 C but it is more like 14 C, so not cooling properly. What can I do?

Make sure the rear of the unit has enough airgap to cool down the condensor pipework, this will help keep the fluids inside cooler quicker which will result in a cooler fridge.

Fridge running warmer than it should, Cooling fan on back doesn't turn, the compressor/condensor running very hot , and no new ice being made. Cleaned the cooling grid which was full of dust.

Here is the basic idea on how to keep the refrigerator, air conditioner, or vacuum cleaner to work properly. Air is moved by an electric fan or blower in order for that product to work properly. If air movement is blocked the fridge won't get cold, the central air conditioner won't cool enough, the vacume cleaner won't clean as well. Check on your fridge's air movement by inspecting the bottom of the fridge for dust and cob webs. Remove the front bottom clip-on plastic grill. Or also even access the lower back of the fridge by removeing the screws holding up the heavy cardboard cover to see inside. Blockage of air flow will prevent a fridge from getting cold. Just like a vacuum cleaner stops working when the bag is filled with dust and fibers. The air could be blocked by the accumulation of dust and fibers. Look under your fridge if it is cloged, it will look just like the stuff on a dirty central air filter.

Dust and fiber buildup blocking the fridge's air movement from back to front (or visa-versa) of your fridge will slowly (years) prevent how good it cools. The build-up of dust and cobwebs prevents your fridge from cooling (more specifically prevents the heat to disapate from the metal heat disipating fins attached to the metal tubes to be blown off by the fans air). OK! Remedy for a vacuum cleaner REPLACE THE CLOGED VACUUM BAG.

Remedy for your fridge manually REMOVE THE CLOGING DUST AND FIBERS FROM UNDER YOUR FRIDGE. SORRY fridge manufacturers do not provide a dust filter like the vacume cleaner and central air systems manufacturers do. You have to figger out the best way you can clean it. Possibly vacuum with a crevice tool, or use a small brush than vacuum. The extreme would be unplug the fridge ( so you won't get electrocuted) bring a water hose into the kitchen and spray water at cobweb buildup at the bottom fridge, than wet vac the floor then wait 20 minutes to dry before pluging the fridge back into the electric outlet.
When you stand in front of your fridge and you hear the fridge electric motor turn on, the fan will blow air.The fridge

Fridge not cooling enough... Repairman said that the board has gone bad but everything works fine other than the fan...Was he just trying to sell me a $400 board or what?

Sounds like either your evaporator fan is bad, or your condensor fan is bad underneath your fridge or your condensor lines are dirty. I would check those things out first. The evaporator fan is located in the freezer behind the back panel. You should be able to here and feel the fan. Good luck!

The water coming out of the water dispenser in our GE Profile PSC25PSWA fridge is hot--hot enough to take a bath in. We don't know why the water is suddenly not being cooled and think this is causing...

Is this a new fridge that was recently installed? Because the only thing I can think of that could be causing hot water coming out of the water dispenser is either the installer/tech hooked up the fridge water inlet line to a hot water line somewhere.

Either that, or there is so much extra plastic water line running around in back and/or bottom of the fridge, that the water in the line is getting heated up by being in contact with the condensor coils or the compressor, etc.

No doubt, this is an interesting situation and some more background will likely be needed to get to the source of the problem, especially since you didn't mention any problems with cooling in the fridge or freezer.

Hope this was Very Helpful and let us know some more info, if my basic hunches aren't the problem. Best regards!

Subzero 680 - vacuum condensor message won't go away.

You can reset it by turning the unit on and off or if you have a door alarm button hold that for 30 seconds and that should clear the fault code.

Not cooling enough per the display

I have this same model which I think I bought in 1988. My frig was overheating also and the compressor was extremely hot. I too cleaned the condensor coils again and have been cleaning them at least annually for a decade and a half by putting an adapter on my small vacuum cleaner. This time I took my 6 hp shop vac and a long bottle brush and scrubbed the coils clean running the brush over the coils many times and using a trouble light to help identify where all the accummulated dust was. Frig is working perfect again. Exhaust temperature is substantially reduced. Hope this helps.

Hot refrigertor

the fridge comes with condenser concealed inside body which removes heat from fridge & transfer to atmosphere hence it is found warmer than atm. temp.which is normal.the condenser is pipe in very long length to improve better heat transfer.this design also helps to remove sweating on body occured by cold air in fridge comp.u will find the hot effect is not everywhere on body because it is hot wherever the condenser pipe is there
