Problems editing files from JVC GZ-MG275AA

My new JVC camera works fine but it seems limited with the software provided. It was difficult to use when trying to move to other applications or convert to other formats (came with PowerCinema). My daughter now tells me that the PowerCinema was only trial software & has expired which from what I'm told leaves us with a camera that we cannot edit the files from on the computer & cannot burn etc in anohter application. I feel ripped off. Anyone have any suggestions beside forking out for another software application (if I have to purchase software, any suggestions what will work best with the format of the JVC files?). regards.

Any alternativs? There is a very simple program that convert .mod NOT ONLY to mpg but many others like avi, mkv, flv, mp4, wmv, rm, rmvd, mov, dv, mg2 and swf. MOD converter is the one shoot all the trouble. This excellent mod conversion tool is not just a converter but also a video editing tool. From now on, with the MOD converter, you can enjoy your mod video on many media player, even on portable devices like blackberry, Gphone, PSP, Creative Zen,etc.

I recently purchased JVC gz hm 650. The format seems to be MTS .How to convert to normal video file. And how to integrate all files

The video files are encoded in AVCHD so you will need a program to import the videos from the camera, not just open the raw video files from the camera. There is probably a software CD or download link that was included with the camera, find that and use the software that it comes with to import the video to your computer. If you have a program like iMovie, Windows Movie Maker, or Final Cut Express, those should all recognize the video when you connect the camera or memory card. You can use one of those to import and edit your video, as well.

GZ-MG30U JVC camcorder software need

You do not need any software to download the data from your camera. You can view your video files through Windows media player. The camer comes with Cyberlink Power director to view and edit the pictures if you want to make your own movies, but just about any editing software will do.

Dear Sir,

Welcome to Fixya Premium Support

To Make DVD select the playlist or file, or simply copy it all--one touch creates a full length video DVD to watch on a DVD player, with no need for a personal computer.

For those who want to edit with a computer, JVC includes software for use with both the Windows and Macintosh platforms.

Provided Software Pixela Capty MPEG Edit EX and optional Capty DVD for making DVD Video, you can use these softwares in Apple Macintosh computer.

For Windows PCs, the CyberLink DVD Solution is provided to make full-length DVD movies. A standard 4.7 GB single-layer DVD-R/RW disc holds over one hour of an Ultra mode movie.

Lost the disks that came with hybrid everio(JVC) 30gb

You can go to the cybelink website and download a trial copy of the software that came with the camcorder. The software is ; Cyberlink Power Cinema, Power Directer, and Power Producer. The camcorder's format is also recognizable by Mac. Or if you dont want ot eventually buy the new software you can manually change the file extension of you movies off the camcorder to .mpg to view back your video using windows media player. Until you get editing software, you would not be able to edit your movies. Adobe Premier Elements 4 works fine with .mov files and Final cut pro.

Problem solved. I was thinking I could delete from the PowerCinema NE for Everio software program that comes with the camera but that is not the case, so it was just a matter of finding where all the video files were stored on the computer itself, ie, "myworks, Everio backup", and delete from there.

When you download your video files onto your pc and go to find them in the prg files you notice two kinds of files. The big ones with extension .mod are the video files. I've had success changing the file extension to .mpg and then importing it to your other editing software programs. Hope this helps.
