Question about Dometic Rooftop RV Air Conditioner
On this device the heat pump uses the same compressor as the AC so it can't just jump from one mode of operating to the other.
In Auto mode the compressor shuts down when the set temperature has been reached and the fan is kept running for a while to keep absorbing the residual heat - the same way the fan on a car's radiator is kept running for a while after the engine has been stopped.
