Question about HP Pavilion dv6000t 15.4" Notebook Laptop PC PC Notebook
Does the video problem occur when connected to an external monitor?
If it does then unfortunately the most likely cause is either:
1. Bad memory modules, try pulling memory chips and rotating between slots to see if any change. If necessary replace faulty memory modules.
2. there is a very large number of these HP/Compaq models that have serious problems with the Video BGA chip coming unseated from the mainboard over time.
This can be repaired by reflowing the BGA chip, but is an involved process, and not for a standard user.
Otherwise the mainboard will need to be replaced.
