Assuming that you have the correct temperature selected for your clothes, there are two likely causes:
If the clothes are showing randomly shaped burn marks, the dryer is overheating. This would be accompanied by a burnt smell on the clothes. The high limit thermostat is the culprit.
If the burn marks are dark streaks, the clothes are getting pinched between the drum and the inside of the dryer that does not move. This is caused by worn bearings, slides or rollers.
