Sony Vaio VGN-SZ18GP Windows 7 shutdown problem .... when I shut down .... it gets stuck on the screen of shutdown but the "loading circle" is still running

This can be a sign of a memory failure, either the RAM is not clearing or the hard drive is on its' way out. Hold the power button down for 6 seconds for a "hard shutdown". Then restart and see if the problem persists.

PC get shutdown automatically

It can happen in several cases. Like:1. If your processors cooling fan does not run properly or stops running , your processor gets over heated and will automatically shutdown to prevent damage of your motherboard. In this case check this first, If is runs but not seem so smooth, just clean it- dust can jam the cooling fan.

2.If your heat sink under the cooling fan is not perfectly fit on the processor, cooling fan will not able to cool it and will result your machine shutdown!

3. In case of Bad power supply, it can also happen. Check your power supply.

4.If your machine have defected RAM or became defected, it may happen. In this case you may have blue screen with message before shutdown your machine.

5. If you have operating system of Microsoft Windows, please check your hard drive for virus. Virus can shutdown machine with a common period of time! Damaged OS which occurs often in windows operating system also can force to shutdown machine.
Please check which one is in your case. Please mention problem details like something unfamiliar for further query.

Laptop gets shutdown

The only thing I can suggest is buy a can of compressed air, blow through open ports and cooling fan to dislodge any dirt. If it works you will need to get the laptop professionly cleaned down the road for a proper job.

My Laptop is Acer Aspire 3050- PC Notebook when i play games laptop ,it became too heat and suddenly shutdown.(between 15 -20). it will happen only when play games, For other purpose it will work...

The laptop was not designed to gaming ..and when you use it for gaming the video card and the cpu are forced too much for it ..The system is shutting down cause it gets to the top heat point ..
The cpu has a top heating point set in BIOS ..and when it gets to it ..the system is shutting down automatically as a protection ..i suggest to avoid forcing it and if you still want to run large games on it need to upgrade the heat dispenser and also get an external cooler for it ..
here are some ex..
Also check in bios settings if the cpu is set for the max temperature be sure it has the correct settings ..just enable the optimal factory settings ..or ..if you have it from teh start and you know you never messed with the bios settings ..just let it be ..cause you can do something wrong ..(specially on the hdd bus and will not see your system after )
Another thing that may be wrong is a heat dispenser that does not doing its job ..either dirty or something like that //If you want you can open it up and check ..but the best idea is still to get an external cooling device and improve the temperature control ..

My XPS 200 keeps shutting down and power light blinks

During when does your computer shutdown? Please check the diagnostic lights at the back as well which ones have light on it during the time it would shutdown.

Since you said that the light is blinking yellow it just says that your power supply is running outside its normal operating range. So most likely you would need a change of power supply. Maybe a higher wattage would be better.

Laptop just randomly shuts off

Probably overheating. Are you playing games when it shuts off?
Turn the laptop off, remove the bottom cover, blow compressed air from a compressed air can to remove dust and lint. Check that the fan can move easily. Replace the cover. Restart the laptop. Download Hardware Monitor from and install. Run the program and check for CPU temp. It should never be higher than 85 C when heavy gaming or calculations are running. If temp gets to 95-100 C, Windows and or the CPU will shut down automatically to protect the CPU and laptop from any damage. As far as I know, there is no way to disable this feature.

How do I send msg to someone on my wifi network or shutdown --

To send messages from one computer to another download and run this exe on both computers. IP Messenger for Win ver2.06 (103KB)
You can copy to startup and fiddle around with the settings.
Small app which gets the job done.
For shutting down a remote computer
Right click on desktop, create new short-cut.
Type shutdown.exe -i
Click next, type in name for your short-cut e.g. shutdown computers
Click finish.
Run the short-cut you just created. Now you can browse the network for computers to shutdown/reboot etc. or just type in the IP/Name of the computer.
You can even broadcast a message, and schedule the shutdown.
NOTE:  You will only be able to shut down computers that you have admin access on!
Hope this helps. Please rate your feedback!
