Question about Alienware PC Systems Alienware Aurora High Performance Gaming Desktop Computer

1 Answer

Alienware Aurora Desktop does not boot, has no HD activity

My Alienware Aurora Desktop will not boot, and does not show a boot screen at startup. When turned on, the fans spin, and the accent lighting turns on, but the activity light on the front of the case remains dark.
My monitor appears to be receiving no signal from the computer.
When unplugged and replugged, the computer turns on automatically, but does not respond to a forced shutdown by holding the power button.

If the activity light on the front of the tower is not glowing than it can be an issue with the power supply of the PC. Try to open the tower and try to reseat the Power supply cables and check.
You can also try to Reseat the RAM (memory) sticks. If you have 2 Memory stick you can just try to boot the pc with the help of one stick and vice versa. If still the issue persist you can try to do a test on the Motherboard. Simply take out the Memory cards and power on the pc . if you hear a beeping noise than the Motherboard is fine and if you dont hear a beeping noise that it is a faulty Motherboard.

@Sushendra i think your solution is right. It may be problem with power supply. Alienware Aurora is a totally new design that uses a compact platform and Intel Core i7 platform to provide a compact, high performance desktop.

Sounds like a Memory issue. It defiantly a conflict somewhere. I would start with the memory. If you have two sticks installed, then remove one. If it does the samething, re install and then remove the other one.

My alienware aurora desktop is taking a lot now to boot and i can only see the mouse pointer and a black screen... is it normal? it has been 10-15 minutes now waht should i do?

I checked your system specification and your system should boot fast. And 10-15 mins boot time? That's not normal. Here's what I would like you to try.
    1. Restart the pc. Press F8 immediately and keep tapping it while starting up. (you should get advanced option screen). 2. select safe mode.
NOTE: if the system start up fine in safe mode. it means your having issues with your normal windows environment. If it's still doing the same thing. The hard drive is about give up. (try running hard drive diagnostic).
    Good Luck!
