If your Frigidaire chest freezer is not turning on after a short move and the light is not even coming on, there may be a few things that could be causing this issue:
Check the power source: Make sure that the freezer is properly plugged in and the outlet is receiving power. You can try plugging another device into the same outlet to confirm if it's working or not.
Check the power cord: Check to see if the power cord is damaged or frayed. If it is, it may need to be replaced.
Check the control board: There may be an issue with the control board of the freezer. Try unplugging the freezer for a few minutes and then plugging it back in. This can sometimes reset the control board.
Check the compressor: If the compressor is not functioning properly, the freezer will not cool. You may need to contact a professional to repair or replace the compressor.
If none of these solutions work, it may be best to contact a professional to diagnose and fix the issue.
Possibly the temperature sensor is faulty(out of spec.) and it will cause that problem or the display unit is faulty. Suggest you replace both if you decide to replace the display.
Check your outlet with something else that will work, like a radio. If the green light does not come on, then check the wiring. The green light should be on even if the freezer has reached it's temperature. That is simply a light to indicate that power is at the receptacle.
First check the lamp; make sure it isn't loose in the holder, check the filament is still complete. Next check the light switch has power and is closing with the door opening. If no power, check wiring/ connection. If power in and out can only be the lamp!
Well a freezer is easy to repair. The circuit goes from one side of the power cord to the cold control and down to the compressor then out to the other side of the power cord. Id the control or compressor relay is open then she won't freeze. All the parts to it are listed HERE. From the list I see an overload for the compressor. If that one is open it won't freeze. Bypass the temp control wires to see if she runs.
I had the same problem.Light came on but nothing else.not even the temp control. That what my problem was the temp control which is a easy fix and it cost about 50 dollars
