the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

You can recover RAID data from hard drive with RAID recovery software easily.
Tenorshare Data Recovery Enterprise is a comprehensive data recovery software that supports RAID recovery for RAID 0 and RAID 5. Lost data in RAID 0 and RAID 5 can be deeply scanned and restored immediately. Meanwhile, files and folders in RAID 0 and RAID 5 can be copied to other partitions directly. http://www.any-data-recovery.com/product/datarecoveryenterprise.htm

I have two WD1600s, in RAID 0 configuration, on my Dell XPS, XP. One has failed. Can I just buy another one and reload the OS? Will any WD1600 do?

If you have a Raid 0, then both drives are tied into one. You could remove the bad drive, and just use the leftover one. But you would need to disable RAID in the BIOS.

Unless you know how you benefit from a Raid 0, I do not recommend keeping a Raid 0 if you have important files you need to keep.

you could also buy another drive, disable Raid, and install the operating system on the first drive, and keep leftover files like pictures etc on the second drive.

I want ot know that how can i configured hardware raid on ibm server x3400 m3 plz help me

The RAID configuration depends upon how many hard drives you have (same size and make) and which RAID level configuration your want ie. RAID 0, ot RAID 5 or a combination of RAID 0 and 1 etc.

For further RAID information, check out these WEB sites.

How the RAID is configured will depends upon your your RAID controller.

Confuguring raid5

Hi

You would need 4 Hard disk drives in total. you would need to create 2 RAID 0 (striping) and then Mirror them (RAID 1). to elaborate, HDD A&B will be at RAID 0 as well as HDD C&D. after, you would have to Mirror your two RAID 0. (raid 0+1 is also known as raid 5)

Hope this helps.

When drives start to fail or have bad sectors in a RAID 0, you should expect that. Try running in RAID 3

I have hp proliant with raid 1+0 .I have 2 hard and usr in option

Sometimes shortened to RAID 10, RAID 1+0 is a particular combination of two different RAID levels: mirroring (RAID 1) and striping (RAID 0). The appeal of RAID 1+0 is simple: mirroring gives you the highest level of availability RAID offers, with the fastest rebuild times when a disk fails; while striping - using the proper chunk size - is the basis for high-performance I/O.

Setup raid configuration

Just keep pressing F2 on startup to go to bios. In bios go to advanced screen and highlight "show raid" option. Hit enter and highlight show raid. Then save changes and exit. Press Ctrl + I when booting and you will open raid configuration utility. Make sure you backup all your files and create RDVDs before making any changes to raid. After pressing ctrl+i you will get raid configration utility. From there "delete raid" -> create new raid volume and select raid type as raid 0. Then boot from RDVDs and install operating system.Let me know if there is any trouble with that

It appears you have made an error with the RAID configuration. RAID 1 is mirroring and requires an EVEN number of drives unless one is a hot spare. Also, RAID 1 is for redundancy and is slower than a single drive or RAID 0. Verify your RAID configuration and make sure you have RAID 1 and not RAID 0 or RAID 5 which can be an even or odd number of drives.
