I use a chain block and tackle to lift and support with car stands once in the air. It can be used front or back and makes it so much easier for repairs/maintenance

One would think that a jack and jack stands would come in handy.

I recently purchased a Troy Bilt Bronco riding mower from a local Lowe's Store. It was delivered by a flat bed truck. The mower was removed by placing the forks of a fork truck under the mower deck and...

I never heard this problem before.
It would seem to me that if you were to lift a mower with forks, they should NOT be under the deck.
I have a Craftsman and I think my deck is bent, I can't align it in all the directions the way I should be able, maybe they did that to mine.
I would call Troy Bilt; it's important enough.

most rideons have the deck assembly able to be removed without too much work.usually release any spring tension, then spring clips holding the arms on,then usually you can disconnect the belts and slide the whole deck out sideways, from under the rider.

How do you adjust the cutting deck?

Pete, go back to partstree and look at the diagram for lift arms. Item #27 is your lift cables. You will notice there are several little ferrules or balls on the cables, you unhook the cable and slide these up or down as needed to adjust your deck. If you need the deck higher, you would position more of the balls under the lift arm on each side. If you can't get the desired height then your cables are stretched and need to be replaced

My john deere 214 won't start

The deck lift lever normally wont start lifting until you pull back at least half way.Ther are 2 sets of wires that go under the fender deck, one set goes to the seat switch and the other set goes to the neutral start switch next to the shift lever, just in front of the seat. The neutral start switch wires more than likley came loose when you pulled fender deck off.The micro switch is on the back side of plate that surrounds shift lever.

How do I adjust the mower lift on my Husqvarna lth 130 lawn tractor? Can't seem to be able to raise deck high enough when mowing

Some units have a dial style adjuster on the lower section of the dash. However, you may have to manually adjust the two rods under the unit that attaches the housing to the mower. Check this out first to see if this helps.

Deck not high enough

Assuming this is a Craftsman, there is an adjustment for height, but mainly just for leveling purposes. There is a nut on each side in the center of the hanger and unless these are all the way to the bottom end, it's not going to raise the deck that high. I would look carefully at the deck hanger mechanism on each side. Something is obviously not right. Has it always been like this, or did you just get the mower? You can go to.. Then enter the model number that's under the seat, hit search, then scroll down to Lift Assembly for a look at how it is set up. I have seen broken hanger rods as well as a broken weld on the lift handle where it's attached to the cross shaft. Hope this helps..
