Usually this is from the needle valve in the carburetor being stuck open. If you're comfortable taking apart and working on the carburetor, read this for details on what to do, otherwise take the mower to a repair shop. Good luck! Please rate my answer if helpful, thanks.

Gas going into crankcase

Hi, Hb there are three ways in which gas can get into your oil tank/system:
1. Someone deliberately pours gas into your oil tank.
2. The vacuum petcock control rubber fails, which allows gas to flow from the fuel tank through the petcock, through the vacuum line into the intake manifold, then into the combustion chamber, where it seeps past the piston rings and into the bottom end where it gets pumped back into the oil tank.
3. Nonvacuum petcocks that are not turned to the off position will patiently wait until the float needle and seat no longer function properly thus inviting gas to enter the combustion chamber eventually finding it's way to the oil tank.

Why does the Gas mix with oil

These are the two simplest causes:
crankcase overfill situation . . check oil level and adjust as needed.
air filter blockage causing the engine vacuum to draw from the crankcase breather and the engine oil with it.

Gas and oil squirting into air box

First of all, there should be no gas/oil mixture on this bike. If it is a crankcase breather and it has gas coming out of it then it means that gas has ran into your engine and diluted the oil. Check the oil and if this is the case then drain and change immediately. As for the gas getting into the crankcase; if you have a float stuck in the open position in your carburetor the gas freely runs through it, then into the cylinder where it then leaks past the piston and into the case. I hope you engine isn't filled with gas but it sounds like it is. If this is what happened then the oil change will fix your problem. If so, take the carburetors apart and make sure the needles and seats are clean and move freely to prevent it from happening again.

Bandit 1200 oil in crankcase

No i would not expect it to, if anything blocking the vent hose to the gas tank would cause a vacuum and stoping fuel from flowing as easy , most likely a faulty fuel pump diaphram or incorrect float height.

Have 307 86 gas in oil some pinging not really knocking or ticking. possibly diaphragm on gas pump allowing this through crank case or what should i do

there are only so many ways for gas to get into the oil.one someone purposely pured gas into the crankcase.two the engine is running very rich and not able to burn the excess gas, three the fuel pump is leaking gas into the crankcase, four the oil has not been changed regularly and the gas has thinned out to the point that it cannot seal the engine from the gas that normally is burned in the combustion chamber. If maintenance is regularly performed that fixes #4,I doubt that anyone would pour gas into the crankcase especially at the price of gas that fixes #1,if the carburetor is working as it was designed to then that eliminates running rich and fixes #2.if the above is good then the only thing left the fuel pump, can leak fuel into the crankcase and they won`t make noise necessarily.as far as the slight pinging one of two things can cause this, the engine is running slightly lean and or the timing is too advanced and needs to be reset to specs

At about 65 mph got a right hand cramp let go of the gas backfire now my oil has water in it looks like coffee

The only way for water to get into the oil (other than someone mistaking the oil filler for a radiator cap) is if there is a crack in the engine block. If the block is cracked, there is no easy fix other than replacing the entire engine.

Try doing a complete oil and filter change. Flush the crankcase with an approved crankcase flush fluid (sometimes kerosine will do). If the crankcase gets oil in it again, the block is cracked.

I have briggs and stratton powered mower with the 18.5 v-twin ohv intek engine modle 407777 type 0121-E5 CODE 000512ZYG MY PROBLEM IS THAT MY CRANKCASE IS FULL OFA GAS OIL MIXTURE THE OIL FILTER ALSO...

When the float in the carb sticks, it allows fuel to drain into the cylinder, that runs pass the rings into the crankcase. When the crankcase is full the pistons cannot go down, and the starter won't turn the engine. Drain all the oil gas mixture, and refill with proper oil. Replace float, needle and seat in the carb bowl. Throughly clean fuel passages, and bowl. If motor won't turn, remove spark plug and turn over engine a few times to remove gas oil mixture from the cylinder too.

How do i burp the air out of my gas 1997

oil in the air filter is caused by one of 3 things, excessive oil level in the crankcase or excessive engine cylinder leakage causing to much back pressure and blowing the oil up the and into the crankcase vent hose, this same condition can also be caused by a plugged Positive Crankcase vent system valve. (PCV for short)

Your oil pan where you normally drain the oil when changing it IS the crankcase. I would also drain any gas from the fuel tank(s) and put fresh gas in it, and you will probably need a new battery.
