Have you considered NOT connecting the camera to the computer?

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive.

Windows or Mac? Either way, what happens if you bring up a file browser window? Do you see the card as an external drive?

You don't need any program. Just get yourself a card reader and download your pics to a folder you create on your desktop. Downloading picture - 224518b.jpg

How do i get the date stamped on the pictures from my panasonic lumix dmc-fz7

The date and time (and a lot more) are stored with every picture in its EXIF metadata. Any photo viewing/editing program should be able to display this data. To print this data, please consult the documentation for whatever program you're using to print your pictures. Depending on the program and printer you may print the date on the image, in the margins, or on the back.

DMC-FZ7 software for Macintosh

You don't need any software.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or, despite what I said first, you can use any photo cataloging program such as iPhoto which is already on your Mac.

Printer will not read SD card from Panasonic Lumix DMC TZ3

Put the card in an adapter or in your computer. Make sure the pictures are not in folders. The printer is unable to read them if they are.
Also, the file size of the picture cannot be over 8 MB and the image size has to be below 12 megapixels.
