Just bought a new computer with WinVista and can't get the i560 printer to connect. New USB cable, just downloaded and installed the Vista driver from the Canon site. What else should I do?

Follow these steps to resolve: · Disconnect your USB cable from your printer. · Uninstall all Lexmark printer drivers on your PC. · Download the correct Vista driver for your model. · Install the driver on your PC.
Important - Do not reconnect the USB cable until the install software prompts the question of how the printer is connected.
you dont need any disc as all the drivers are preinstalled on vista computer..just connect the usb cable and it will automatically install it....a printer icon will be created under printers and faxes.

before installing the new drivers and softwares for this printer
> uninstall all the softwares and drivers from your computer
> unplug the usb cable
> run the downloaded application
> when the applicatinon asks you to plug the usb cable, insert it.

What operating system are you using?
If you're using Vista, the CD that came with your printer is probably useless.
