Depends on the card. If it is USB put it into the USB port, if it is PCMCIA (PCcard) plug it into that port. Install your drivers first.

My wireless connection has stopped on my advent roma 2001

Maybe the wireless card is bad. Parts don't last forever. Are you sure your wireless switch is on? Are you sure your wireless router is on?

When you say your wireless connection has stopped (that is a broad statement that could either be a problem with the router or the wireless card in the computer).

Does your Laptop pick up any wireless signal at all from anywhere? Do you have other laptops in the house that is picking up the wireless signal?

If other laptops pick up the signal, then the problem is with your wireless in the laptop. You might try downloading and reinstalling the wireless drivers.
Get onlineand got to www.google.com In the google search box type: "AdventSupport" (without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support). Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operatingsystem when requested. Download and install the drivers. If you still have problems are reinstalling the driver then try reseating the wireless card. Remove the power cord, remove the battery, turn the laptop over and remove the cover that houses the wireless card. Remove the screws from the wireless card that holds it in the slot, remove the antennas (black and white cables) from the wireless card. Then put it all back together and in place and reboot.

Suddenly network card stopped work. can't connect internet

Try This: Unplug the power to the DSL Router for 20 seconds then plug it back up. Remove the power cord and battery from the laptop, then press and hold the power button for 30 seconds. Turn the laptop over and look for the screw on the Wireless Card Cover. Remove the screw and the cover (it may be a number of screws depending you your system) then unplug the antenna cables to the wireless card (normally a black and white or black and gray cable). Remember which cable goes where before you remove them. Remove the screw that holds the wireless card in the slot, then remove it. Put the Wireless card back in the slot and secure it with a screw. Put the antennas back on the wireless card and then the cover. Put the battery back in, plug in the power cord and reboot.

If the system still does not find your wifi card, the card might be bad.

*** Sometimes the wireless card will be under the keyboard or palmrest instead of the bottom of the computer.

Activate wireless bottom

maybe your wireless card is bad. Try this, remove the power cord and battery, turn the laptop over and remove the cover that is over the wireless. Hopefully the wirless is under the bottom, sometimes it might be under the keyboard or plamrest.

Anyway, remove the two antenna cables from the wireless card, and also remove the wireless card out of the slot that it fits it. Then after a few seconds put the wifi card back into the slot, attach the antennas, put the cover back on and reboot. Sometimes reseating helps.

Internal Wireless for Sony Vaio VGN-B100B?

A simple solution is a USB Wireless Card... Linksys is my Fav...
If you have a wireless card in there you would see a indicator light on the top of the laptop...kinda like the HD light or power light. If it is on... it will be lit.

WIRELESS ADAPTER

To install your wireless adapter, plug in the wireless card, and put your cd driver into the laptop. Once the adapter is plugged in, your laptop should recognize a new hardware has been installed, and will ask you for a driver (whether to automatically search for it or you can install it yourself. Pick the option of you installing yourself, and put the cd driver in. Then just go through the wizard to install your wireless card. You should be good to go from there! Any other questions, let me know!

WIRELESS NOTEBOOK DONT WORK

1394 is not wireless, that is what the computer calls it's firewire port. Maybe your wireless card is off, most laptops have a tiny on/off switch for the wireless card somewhere around its front edge.

From what I've found out on the internet I don't think all NX9010s have built in wireless, you may have to buy a wireless card thatyou can put in the card slot or a usb wireless card.
