You will more than likely need someone to physically troubleshoot it. i have replaced many power supplies under warranty due to bad caps, transistors, and diodes. if there are bulged caps on the power supply it might be a diy thing if you have tools and expertise working with electronics

My vizio tv won't shut off and it will not work on any of the smart functions? I unplugged and left overnight and it did not help it. It is only 3 years old.

The board where the power button is located is probably bad. The power button itself will be part of that board, which will also have the other controllers (i.e. "all on one board"), which would explain your multiple problems.

Keeps reseting itself

Dude check your A/V or HDMI cables or whatever you use. HDMI cables can be tricky. Make sure that the different shades of color are matched up exactly. Ex: make sure light blue isn't plugged into the dark blue slot. it may not appear as if it matters but trust me it does.

The fault is with its main board itself. Troubleshooting to this board is not an easy work to a user can do. It will be best to contact any service technician. google.com/+GopakumarGopalan

Toshiba 32AF44. While watching a baseball game yesterday, the volume bar appeared by itself and scrolled down to zero. The bar will not disappear. It's like someone is holding the down button. Tried...

Main system control memory IC fault. This is a very small IC; have 8 solder terminals, and can be located very near to the main system control-chroma IC. Check and replace it. Be sure to replace it with the same number printed on it; in all respect. Otherwise, it won't go. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ Before replacing it, try a reset to this set, and then check.
There are two methods to reset TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight is better. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here.

Keeps turning off by itself after about 30 minutes

Is your air intake clean or clogged.. Maybe it's overheating causing it to shut off.. Had the same problem didn't replace the bulb but cleaned the intake and it works great again. Worth a try.. Intake is located on the left back pannel of the tv.. outside pannel pops off easly.

Sony 46" lcd turns off by itself and will not power up again.

Sony TVs come with a one year warranty on parts and labor. Call Sony at 1-800-222-SONY They will find a local company to service this product.

These TVs have a self-diagnostic screen that a tech can access to help solve the problem. Your problem could be any number of things including the fan(s) stopping, the ballast board failing, Q-box issue or none of the above.

Control buttons don't work!?

Same problem. While waiting for feedback from their support, after trying everything I could think of with no result, in frustration I just shut it down and turned off the power to everything since I couldn't turn the monitor off. Left it overnight and this morning when I rebooted it now works so it must reset itself. Good luck
