Hello,

Have you check all connection to see if they are right, check if no cable was unplug, if you have and yet no picture display, It could be that the picture board on your monitor has started malfunctioning, since the power led or button is on, it means the picture board of your monitor has developed fault.

The best thing for you to do now is to take the monitor to a local repairer within your vicinity or any service center to help with the replacement of the picture board because the fault is not something you can fix yourself, in order not to complicate issues.

Take care.

Contact the manufacturer and ask. They will either recommend a fix or a fixer in your area.Whatever you dodon't attempt to do anything before you speak to them. This is something I'm sure they'll want to help you with.

My monitor only show a partial screen. It is black 1 1/2" on each side of the screen. How do I fix this . It is 10 yrs old.

a tv electrician would know the exact terminoligy, but I'm not and I would say its something like the tube or phaze has gone, either way for that model of monitor its not worth getting fixed, if you livedd near me I'd happily give you a replacement, however you local car boot should have a CRT monitor for under £5

2 yrs old, picture just went out. Is it

Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed HP monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

My company has 2 viewsonic vx2235wm monitors that have recently died on us. First my co-workers monitor went black and the blue light turned orange. Then we turned it off and back on it would stay on for...

More than likely this is a driver problem. Many people are having this issue with the new driver that has been made available for this monitor. I have two of these monitors in a dual configuration and had the same problem. You will need to download the old driver or just delete the new one that downloaded and it should fix itself.
Good Luck,

Monitor goes black but green light still on.

The problem with the Mag lt916s is that it is made with cheap capacitors. If you are interesnted it is a cheap and easy fix. Open it up, which is the hardest part. And replace the six 470uf 105 degree 25v capacitors and maybe even the smaller 220uf one next to them. You will see a bump on the top of bad capacitors most of the time. There are some videos to watch on Youtube showing you how to make the repair.
Good luck

Dell P780 17" CRT Monitor(3 yrs old) issue

That sounds like a monitor issue, not a video card. Gradual fading means components within the monitor are wearing out. However, I strongly advice against attempting repairs. CRT monitors hold a strong electrical charge. People have been injured and even killed by attempting to work on them without proper tools and training. A 17" CRT monitor is too cheap to be worth the risk (you can often get them used... I got mine for $20 at Goodwill).
