My framing nailer stopped working. Every time I try to fire it air is released out of the exhaust. Any suggestions before I take it somewhere to get repaired?

Try putting a drop of very thin oil into it first its just stuck up and the air motor is not turning,,,this is caused by not oiling it every time you use it!

I have a 602, with air connected I pull trigger and nothing happens. There is no sound of air release or the hammer trying to actuate. ????

Time for good relube of all the orings with white grease or silicone paste. If no air is leaking then no need to replace orings. This occurs when the orings in the headvalve are dry. Air does not leak out of the gun however does leak between the main air chamber and the upper headvalve. Make sure that the firing pin is fully depressed by the safety foot when firing the gun. Good luck

Most all of my guns are senco and the head has the moving part for fire and reload,, controlling the driver piston. Multiple shots suggests a trigger problem. No water in system right.. Paslode impulse framing nailer , iv cleaned gun and oiled , the fan works etc . seems to only fire if i have fully charged battery ,once used for about five minutes it stops firing . only way to get it...

When it stops firing is the little light on the side of the handle green or red? If it is red then the battery is draining down too quickly. Either the fan switch has malfunctioned causing the fan to run all the time (I have seen this before) or you got either a faulty battery or charger.

How does the framing nailer work with a black button grey button

Dewalt has two triggers available for their framing nailer. The black trigger (390746-00) is a bump style trigger. While holding the trigger, you will be able to fire a nail by pressing nose against work. This trigger is preferred by most framers because it is much faster. Gray trigger will only allow one nail to be fired. Bumping will not work with the gray trigger. With trigger released, you must place the nose against work then pull trigger to fire. To fire next round, you must release trigger, pull gun off the work, again place nose against work then press trigger. Check dewalt web site for recall information. Some dewalt framers have been recalled for faulty trigger. Good luck with your projects.

Senco sn901xo is leaking air out the top on the nailer.

This is a sign that internal components are sticking. Try spraying a light weight oil like wd 40 down the air inlet and dry firing the gun several times. If that does not work, pop off the top of the gun, that is your exhaust port. Clean the area with contact cleaner, and lube with air tool oil.

I have a craftsmans framing nailer when pushed against surface it will not fire and release the nails or even try.

Check the compressor to make sure you have it set at the proper air pressure for this nailer. Typically a framing nailer requires about 90 psi.
