I have a Dometic DM2652 that will not stay lit. It is like the thermocouple is bad but it does not have one. All electronic I guess. Good flame while igniting but after the 45 second ignition it goes off. Any ideas?

Pilot light wont stay lit on gas logs

One, ensure that the flame is entirely one color blue, no light blue in the center, no orange or yellow. If you replaced the thermocouple yourself, ensure you connected it to the gas valve and/or ensure that the connection to the gas valve is tight. If it is a new thermocouple you may have a gas valve issue, this is uncommon and rare. However, the valve may not be receiving the signal from the thermocouple. If the color of the flame is incorrect, turn fireplace off, and clean out the pilot tube and then relight. If none of this works, call your local trained professional. Remember you are dealing with gas, being cheap can put you in danger.

We have a Dometic 3way fridge, the gas stayes lit only as long as I hold the button.

It appears that you have a bad thermocouple. This senses the heat and should allow the gas valve to stay open after the flame has been lit for approximately 30 seconds. By pushing the button you are manually opening the valve. Check to make sure the thermocouple is resting in the flame and is getting the proper heat.

Pilot don't stay lit after the gas control knob is release.

Hi,
The thermocouple is bad and you will have to replace it...
The thermocouple is the thing that sticks up in the flame to sense that the flame is on... if it goes bad the pilot flame will not stay lit when you release the button...

I have a readyheater model 65-85 the flame will not stay lit im thinking thermal couple is there a way to test this part? or could it be another problem?

If your pilot light will not stay lit when you release pilot light button then chances are that your thermocouple is bad. Make sure that the tip of thermocouple is directly in line with pilot light. Tip of thermocouple should be cherry red if it is properly placed. If pilot will not stay lit then replace it. If you aren't sure about placement of thermocouple you can heat thermocouple with a seperate heat source. If you do this and pilot light stays lit then reposition thermocouple in pilot flame. If it still won't keep pilot burning then replace thermocouple. Hope this helps. Thanks.

Dometic refridgerator won't stay lit on Propane

A bit more info is needed. What model #, and how old is it? In back, does it have a computer board (underneath a green or black plastic cover, appros 4" x 6")? Im guessing that it does, ('cause you get an error message,) Make sure that you have a good 12 volts going to the board at all times, and make sure that the glass fuses on the board are not blown. If that checks out, than its a real good bet the you have a defective board. For Americana models, you're going to need a Dometic board, and for other models, an aftermarket board will usually do. Althoiugh the OEM ones have a better chance of fixing your problem.

Pilot lite will not stay lite

You need to change the thermocouple on the unit.

9a50546.jpg

First check to see if the flame is hitting the thermocouple when the flame is on when you hold down the button. If it is then remove the the thermocouple and replace with the same size. You should be able to pick one up at your local hardware store.

If when you replace the thermocouple the flame does not stay lit still you may have a bad gas valve.
Hope this helps and please rate this!

M2800 fridge

If it doesn't click or the light doesn't flicker it is probably either you don't have good strong 12 volt power getting to the fridge(12 volt required only to light on gas the first time) or else the little gas igniter module went out looks like this only sometimes black.

Now if it won't stay lit. It is something wrong with either your flame or your thermocouple. First try just blowing out the the flu right where the flame comes out blow compressed air in so if there is dirt or cobweb in there it comes out the back side. If that doesn't help disconnect your thermocouple and wipe the end and then connect it back up and tighten it. If it still wont stay lit still replace the thermocouple.
