How long do batterys last. Haven't used my player in almost 2 yrs now battery will not charge.

The SanDisk battery life is usually around 1,000 charges, but with these products they eventually have to be replaced, If you haven't charged yours in a long while, it could just need to be left plugged in overnight and if that doesn't charge it, then it definately needs to be replaced.

Sansa Clip will not turn on

I had the same problem, and found the solution on the Sansa Clip forum page at sandisk.com
Here it is: Simply push the on switch up and hold it for 15 seconds, this initiates a soft reset, which resets the device to the state it was when last turned on

Cannot tell when sansa mp3 player is fully charged.

Make sure the hold switch is not engaged - it will interfere with the charging process. Here is a link to the full user's manual:

Sansa sandisk mp3 player 1 gig

Theoretically, you should be able to use this one forever, if you keep charging it. The battery isn't replaceable, so hopefully it will last you a good 3 years or more. The #1 threat to Mp3 players isn't the battery, but keeping up with software/computer environment changes. Most mp3 players introduced to date only last 1-2 years - much shorter than everyone had originally thought.
