The unit turns on compressor and the fan after awhile the fan turns off and compressor still on.

Sounds like it is a bad fan or bearings. Try shutting off the unit as soon as the fan shuts off and see if the fan turns freely. If not, the fan bearings need lubrication or replacement. If they are not serviceable, you will need to replace the entire fan.

My frigidaire air conditioner LRA067AT7 won't cool

The thermostat isn't turning on the compressor. Check it out first. If it seems ok then check the wires going to the compressor. One of the 2 places will be the trouble .

As soon as the compresser statrs it shuts down

The reason for this, may be an improper humidity setting. The percentage shown on the LED screen is what the unit will maintain, not remove. In other words if it's set at 65%, that's pretty high and the humidity level in your home may be 65% at this point. If you lower it to say, 45%, the unit should turn ON and continue to run until the 45% level has been reached or the bucket becomes full and the unit turns off, because of that.

Hope this helps you solve the problem. Please let me know. Thanks

3 year-old machine. Appears that the main refridgerant supply line to the coils ices up soon after you turn it on, starting near a small canister of some kind, then the ice makes it way across the...

Often times, a clogged filter will cause them to freeze up. Because, it's not getting enough air into the system to warm the coils. If you haven't cleaned the filter recently or regularly, that is more than likely the problem. Other than that, the ambient room temperature can play a role in it. If it's cooler than 41 degrees, the humidifier struggles. Same is true if it's over 93 degrees.

Hope this helps you solve the problem.

Hi

The tank may be full. Your dehumidifier has a safety device that turns off the dehumidifier when the water tank is full. Usually the tank itself either presses against a switch or there's a device connected to the tank that triggers a switch when the tank is in place and full.

If you've emptied the tank and the unit doesn't run, inspect the place where the tank rests to see if there's a switch or mechanism that's not being activated. You may be able to turn it on with a simple flick of your finger.

Take care.

The unit turns on and sounds like it is running,

Your coil temperature has to be below the dewpoint of the air in the basement to remove the moisture. If you can set the temperature lower or the fan speed lower it will help.

Its too old where you are running the appliance - lift it up in the air or raise the heat in the room. This is *not* a low-temp dehumidifier.
